I was already using /jp/ for seiyuu and mbgg thread and know about VTubers from back then when Virtual wa Mitteiru was airing. I started with /vyg/ thread though searching for Korone discussion and then later found out about /hlg/ by searching the archive for more Korone discussion.

I've known about /vyg/ since 2018 but only browsed it for a month and stopped caring about vtubers. In March, Hololive clips started appearing on Twitter and on my YT recs. I came back to this board around the last week of May only to realize it has been split.

I was wondering why I've never really seen that term before, turns out it's a Holothread thing. So I guess anons were right and we are getting raided.

Considering how prevalent the "Live2D is a fad that will die in 2019" narrative was in the /vyg/ days, I doubt that many people that post here actually started before Gamers debuted, they just hide it to not start the shitflinging that will inevitably happen.
