There's even an entire paragraph dedicated to talking about how they insanely protective of him.
They are also pretty easy going overall and the lore segment that came with the profile talks about how humans and dragons are treated as equals in their kingdoms.
As for worshiping an ancient demon lord, they do that because she's their ancestor (who might also be alive again and a MG now? It's not very clear but said former demon lord is referred to as a "she"), but they otherwise friendly and cooperative with the current DL. If anything, they are up there with Jabberwocks and Dragon Zombies in embracing their nature as monster girls.

I figured the extremists were all single monsters that want to take over a city to get a husband. They stay behind and have a bunch of kids who grow up to be the next generation's soldiers. So, the first and less-interesting story element I've written down for the Order was the existence of a group within the church that essentially carry out wet-work against (human) enemies of the church. The main leader, who's given the title "The Left Hand of God", is currently missing because he was sent on a mission to assassinate what was thought to be human target, but it was actually Shirokuto, and they fought each other to a standstill. Things happen, he begins questioning his allegiance, and he's currently her prospective husband. There's more to this but I haven't fleshed it out quite yet..

Also if you think it's too dark for MGE, it isn't. Fallen Brides 2 had a girl who became a cursed sword who did something similar for an organization under the Noscrims.

The main story element I have for the (current-day) Order revolves around one key idea: The Chief God isn't injured and resting. She's missing, and has been for the last thousand years. The other gods, desperately wanting to hold on to their waning control over humans, pretend the above isn't true and even impersonate the CG when answering prayers. The Demon Lord, for her part, goes along with this because the Order, for all its faults, is a major stabilizing force in human realms, and if it disintegrated due to missing the head honcho of the entire religion it'd cause serious strife amongst humanity. So instead she sent one of the lilim to go undercover disguised as an archangel, who is currently one of the most influential heroes within the Order. It's due to this lim that the Order's campaigns against monsters are so legendarily incompetent, but at the same time the lim makes sure when it comes to overthrowing corrupt tyrants or providing humanitarian aid the Order is always on point.

If you're wondering, yes this lim also had something to do with Lescastie as well. Long story short, her sister Druella showed her the horrific atrocities being committed by the Noscrims, and convinced her to not react to the invasion.

Anyway, that long autistic plot-dump aside, the point is that even with the present-day Order there's a lot of stuff that can be done while also keeping within the bounds of what's acceptable in MGE. KC has essentially given a world with some bare-bones rules and told us to go nuts, and I think not using one of the main factions of the setting when building on his world is kind of a waste.

Nothing getting done is quite normal in a human/monster village.
Most of the so-called “wild monsters” that live in forests, mountainous regions, etc. fundamentally don't have a specific job, however, those monsters that live in monster villages and monster-friendly states, etc. do have specific jobs, and many of those belonging to organizations such as the Demon Lord's army, etc. have specific duties.
