Lefend of the Samurai. Argualbly the most spectacular Samurai Fantasy movie made in 1980's Japan. Nothing more or less could be said. Simply watch it people.

Probably the greatest of all in Samurai flicks in loalty to the Samurai tradtional film produced by Japan Action Club is Shogun's Samurai: The Yagu Conspiracy. Beloved actors from 3 Super Star Generarions actors, all of whoam passed the Japanese main man torch to one another, featured: Toshiro Mifume, Sonny Chiba, and Hiroya Saneda. Conpiracy, Ninjas, masacurs, Samurai, and even kabuki are here spread out in riralvery between clans behind the two siblings of the late Shogun competing for the thrown. Somethung rarely touched on in Samurai Movies appears in this film and that is the seperate class of samurai families known as Nobility who have always surrounded the Emperor. The Nobility in this film gives you sword play and a glimpce into their fallen struggles of only being able to rule within the boundries of affairs with the Emperor. Very cool all around movie. You'll see a few shots of special effects that Japan Action Club is so well known for.

The only issue I have with this movie is the unberable death scene of Hiroya's Chinese Girl friend in ths and how the twin daggers are dealt with at the end. None the less, Shogun's Ninja is equvilunt to American 80's classic cool style teenage hit films. Shiogun's Ninja is a must see full of action, stunts, and sword play if ine is a Samurai or Ninja fan.

I've lived in Japan about 7 years now. Never experienced the xenophobia most westerners seem to be so paranoid about. I speak Japanese fluently so I guess that helps, but I hardly think it's fair to expect anyone to welcome you with open arms when you don't speak their language. I also think there are a lot of things that westerners mistake for xenophobia which in fact are just cultural differences.
