The problem with this hype around Hololive is even worse than normal as the people that are just attracted because it is popular literally can’t understand the content that is being discussed. If you make a post asking people what they thought of a stream that just finished you will usually get 2-5 replies. If you make a post asking people their height and weight 40+ people will come scurrying out from the floorboards to reply (real example by the way). This also leads to more in fighting between threads and stirring up board drama like we are seeing now. They can’t actually participate in the discussion in the thread so they take what surface level information they have, usually softdoxx infographics or narrative/drama and take them boards like /v/, /vg/, /pol/, and /qa/ so that they can have discussions and answer questions from people who know even less than them. This pisses off people from those boards and brings more and more negative attention and tourists to /jp/.

Hopefully the hype will die down soon and we can return to normal. Purely in principle I don’t thing the individual Holo threads would be that bad for the board (although I also don’t think they are really needed since I think generals are best for live content) but the difference in volume currently is just ruining the board and until the popularity dies way down the mods should be keeping it to one thread.
