I'm very impressed with how the game handles this actually. Kujo is totally upfront about being gay, Nitta and Yagasaki are openly bisexual, only Yoshimoto isn't confirmed one way or another, probably because there would be no point. By the way dunno if I'm reading too much into this or it really is heavily implied that Yoshimoto is fucking Nitta, but nice if so. Wish we could see it, must be a spectacle.
And even how well and how fast Teppei gets over being a closeted bisexual varies drastically from route to route. His complete "I have nothing against gays but benis in boober nu uh unnatural disgusting homo degenerate do not want" meltdown was the absolute extreme end of his reactions, and even then he dropped it once Kujo confronted him about sending mixed signals despite saying no.
Beside, he got suddenly and involuntarily recruited into the underground gay hookup culture and revolutionary group therapy know as the Game. When a roster of forty-something male participants gets put together in a way that everyone has an ex or two or their entire extended ~friend~ group running around no wonder kid got spooked.
