To kick things off, I want to introduce you to another incredible artist that deserves more recognition: Mitski. Her emotionally-charged lyrics and unique blend of indie rock and folk elements create an unforgettable listening experience. Give her music a chance, and you won't be disappointed!

Now it's your turn once again! Share your own underrated Japanese music discoveries, whether it's a solo artist, band, or even a niche genre that deserves more attention. Together, let's shine a spotlight on these hidden musical treasures!

I've also compiled all the songs from the previous thread and i'll update them regularly:

"Hey /JP/! While we all love the big names in Japanese music like Utada Hikaru and Babymetal, there are so many talented artists out there that don't get the recognition they deserve. Let's uncover some hidden gems together!

I'll start things off with my personal favorite underrated artist, Hako Yamasaki. Her soulful, jazz-inspired vocals and poetic lyrics are truly mesmerizing. I highly recommend giving her music a listen if you haven't already.

Now it's your turn! Share your favorite underrated Japanese artists and help spread the word about their incredible talent!"

Trust Japan.
Japanese music is real.

For example, let's take this song and let's see what we can learn from it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lplZrTGkvWY

We learn there is another dimension. This applies to anime and videogames and other japanese media. This is what's called "Opening the Door". We also learn there is a Nakama for this in Japan. Nakama is a difficult word to translate, but it implies the togetherness.

It says there is 100s of bonds, if not 1000. Out of the millions of people who play videogames, 100/1000 may seem like a small number, but wouldn't it be worth it?

Finally, it talks about the reason this is happening, it says "So we can write a new history never seen before". I would agree with this statement, a dimension-crossing trend to get lots of people to cross the dimension hasn't been seen before in history.

Wouldn't it be great if it told you how to open the door so you could enjoy the Cut Content of your favorite game/anime? I'll tell you how, you have to find glitches and link them. And when you open the door, pay close attention to japanese society. You might get something!

I fucking hate Japs' brain dead obsession with Apple and that the normies flooding the internet make it harder to sea fare for music. Half the time I can't find anywhere to download (*not* stream) a song except fucking iTunes and I'd rather seppuku than use Apple.

Even with the Japanese words I have no idea how to source music. Do they not have the "musicians > producers > label > mass media behemoth" system that exists in Western countries?

Take this for example -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsHR2ULQDu8

I have no idea how to source these bands or which services to look for these songs on. If they weren't Japanese I'd go on YouTube or Deezer and be done.
