>how is the translation process usually done? Does the TL just play the game along side with a doc open where he jots down the translations?
Typically you dump the scripts into excel spreadsheets and then write down the translation in the adjacent cell. The tool then should be able to reinsert the scripts with the newly translated line, but it can vary depending on the engine you're working with. You can play and translate at the same time since having the images and voices to give additional context will be helpful, but it's probably best to familiarize yourself with what you're going to translate first by just reading it and enjoying it. This helps with foreshadowing or anything else that might not make sense at first glance. It's up to you how to do it, but I believe most translators will just work with the raw scripts since it's way more efficient and translating a vn takes a long time so you want to make the process faster if possible. Since the average vn is a huge time commitment, you also really want to like what you're working on because it can take up to a year or more depending on your pace to complete a project. You can always go for something shorter of course.
>Where do you publish when you're done? (As how there's mangadex for manga etc.)
When you're done, you upload your patch file in a zip file with a readme on mega or whatever filehost you want with a link from your site or just dump it here and people will update vndb with a link to your translation. It won't take long before someone uploads a prepatched vn with your translation on nyaa or whatever.
>Are there any guides for VN editing you can forward me to?
The basic process is: pick vn you want to work on. Identify the engine it uses, kirikiri, artemis, etc. The file extensions in the game folder will typically give you a hint on which it is. Find the corresponding tool that will allow you to extract the scripts. Google will usually be enough to find it, but if you can't find a working tool, you can join the eroge translation tools discord and people will help you out. If you build a good track record, programmers may even make tools for you for an uncommon engine. VNTranslationTools is a nice one and easy to use and works with a lot of common vn engines https://github.com/arcusmaximus/VNTranslationTools.. If you have trouble in any step of the way, either look for other translators who have done projects in the same engine, or join the eroge translation tools discord and ask for help. Check the chat history to see if someone has asked a similar question first before making them possibly answer your question again.

I'm an old guy and for awhile we were accelerating really quick in the tech department. 70s Apollo program, (going to see Artemis next week) 80s microprocessors. Things just slowed down in the late 80s/early 90s when cellular telephones came out. Sure, you see a few neat things now and then, but man... I thought we'd be much further along in many departments.

>With Artemis missions, NASA will land the first woman and first vtuber Tsunomaki Watame on the Moon, using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before. We will collaborate with commercial and international partners and establish the first long-term presence on the Moon. Then, we will use what we learn on and around the Moon to take the next giant leap: sending the first astronauts to Mars.

>limited edition of Call of Artemis' EP comes with a BD of the Lynx Eyes part from the same show
>you have to buy all three versions of CoA's EP to get a special BD with the encore part
>there were both day and night performances, this will probably be from only one of them

Anyone can tell me what I fucked up here?

It seems like it desyncs after a bit and the scene ends a few lines early, I'm assuming because I didn't edit the top part properly but I'm not sure what I messed up there. Engine is Artemis, I had to make my own parser since the one on VNTranslationTools didn't work for this game

It was close to perfect, but it's a shame that Non-chan couldn't perform this time.
Also, personally I'd hoped that Photon Maiden would sing OVERCOME. Weird that they didn't, it's a new song after all, and who knows when the next opportunity will be as they don't even have any lives scheduled yet.
And then you have the whole Call of Artemis thing. I'm sure it was a blast for fans at the venue, but the stream ended so abruptly after Lynx Eyes and lacked a proper finale.

>Bushi not showing the Call of Artemis part was a shitty move from them.
It's probably about Nana, I bet they couldn't get a livestream permission from her agency for whatever reason. Maybe they cheaped out as usual.

I really enjoyed the D4FES Day 1
All the presentations were exciting:
- Happy Ara: Pretty good, even without Non-chan
- Photon Maiden: It was nice to see Amita with the new outfit. And poor Tsumu with the DJ Table burning.
- Lyrical Lily: It sucks that Yuzumoon had a problem with her mic, but after that was solve, it was a good show as always. Rukarun was more confident this time.
- The DJ time with Kokko was better than last year.
- Merm4id and Peaky doing a great show as always. It was funny how the camera focus on Nacchan chest.

9/10
It would be 10/10, but Bushi not showing the Call of Artemis part was a shitty move from them.

>> No.39967867 [View]

Well, that's it for D4FES day 1. The stream was good I had a lot of fun to be honest. Peaky's performance was the best, Merm4id a close second. It's incredible how much energy they packed into such short sets. I loved the new songs, too, especially those from PKPK and the Lilies.
It's a shame the Call of Artemis part isn't streamed, but I'm looking forward to whenever we get to watch it. And day 2 of course.

>> No.39952964 [View]

I wonder why the Call of Artemis performance isn't going to be streamed live on Openrec. There will be a delayed viewing of sorts for that part later. Maybe something to do with Mizuki Nana's contract?

Grats dude, takeru and artemis are both crazy good. Going to preface this by saying I'm not familiar with what's considered meta. I would probably take siegfried to go with your susanoo. She has a silence and a 3x buff dispel with high multipliers. I'm not sure how Leonidas compares to her, so maybe wait for someone else to weigh in. Soldiers are extremely good after getting their master class upgrades.

Solomon and Sariel from idol gacha, goodbye forever Artemis and go kill yourselves Techcross

>> No.39698994 [View]

I can't read for shit so I don't know what resists what, but overall, bento is still good for at least the first half of the weekly tower levels to get them done quick, and also a good nadia buffer for ex
Most high scores I've seen had her with Sol, though it's true shooters don't care about supports so Sol can go with other nadia characters like Tutan, or even Enma since lol Rider bonuses
Also Nike rate up looks tempting but eh, might as well save for hyperlimiteds, even tutan reprint (which sounds kinda L anyways because anubis sucks unlike yamatake+artemis)
