I went to /jp/ with no prior research of its rules, got a ban request for "ban evading" by the janishite, now let me tell you why /jp/ is a garbage board based on my limited understanding and negative experiences.

The best way to see is to play Sekien no Ignanock really. I could just say that it's poetic and a bit artsy, but those are vague terms, not to mention that based on length alone, the VN is unusually costly.

If there's a young lady smiling at me, I guess I'd ask Yukari to move over a little so that I could see who it was.
But you know, I'd be subtle about it, because based on Yukari's expression, she and I are already having some kind of pleasant conversation.

>hurr someone understanding Japanese means they speak it fluently and want to shit all over a Japanese imageboard just to show off
Maybe, just maybe, it's because you lose a massive amount of nuance if you only watch subs literally halfway made up by SEA monkeys and Tumblrinas who barely know Japanese and treat the members like objects that they can ship as they want to. Maybe. It might also be because the whole idea of the idol group is built on respect and devotion, and if you're not devoted enough to your oshi to even learn what she's saying or others are saying to her, you have no business being a fan at all and should fuck off to fap to some American pop slag.

I know this is 99% likely to be bait, but fuck it.
The problem I have isn't with English. The problem I have is with something that's originally in Japanese being translated into English by people who know neither and literally make up chunks of their subs, perpetuating a wailing, burbling, shit-smearing spawning pool of weeaboo simians and SEA monkeys who become more and more spoiled with every error-riddled sub that a misguided fantard who took a Japanese course at evening school dropped into whatever shit pit of a website they're on. Those people, instead of being forced to learn Japanese and actually come to understand the members, putting in some actual effort and learning another language in the process as well as some respect for another culture, end up completely unused to putting in any effort of their own whatsoever, begging for subs that they can't see are completely error-riddled and just starting to squawk louder and louder whenever someone implies that a concept based on devotion, respect and support might actually require them to put in effort.

I was just curious about it because of the Buddhism vs Taoism stuff. Also the rules in Christianity and other things were just "God says so". Ok, if you dont believe in God the system falls apart. Buddhism however has bullshit (I dont believe in reincarnation) but the argument made for "I" or my self not existing, wasnt based on something dismissable like god.

The gameplay itself was more varied (different combos, magic tied into the combo system, passive items, timing based dodge / block), but it was too easy and there was only half the amount of the story battles compared to the original. And yeah, the story just ends when things were finally getting somewhat interesting and there's so many unsolved mysteries so it's hard to judge the game on its own before the eventual sequel. The game had some pretty good music though and I'm hoping they'll roll out a soundtrack soon.

There are several reasons why Europe keeps getting ignored. First let's look at the past, from what I understand, the opera THE END didn't do so well in Europe, iirc most of the people who showed up were people who flew from Japan and not native european fans. On the other hand when CFM held a concert screening in LA in 2011, the movie theater was sold out, and many native fans showed up. Thus, it was shown that there was big interest for Miku to go to LA (and eventually the rest of the US)

Second, I've never really seen Europe actually buy Miku merch (or rather a large amount of it). I'm sure CFM is choosing concert locations based on Mikubook statistics and sales from Good Smile Company. Why tour in an area where people don't have a Miku money pit? It's common business sense. Other than France being interested in Japanese culture (and even then look at ALYS the wannabe vocaloid failure), is there a concentrated section of Europe where there are Asian districts/japan towns? No, not at all. So now we're on to strike 2.

And finally, there's no notable producers in Europe. In the US we have Utata in LA and arguably Circus, whether you like him or not, the fandom knows about him along with Crusher and a few others . Along with Porter Robinson, there is arguable a (very) small vocaloid scene in the US. Europe? Name a notable producer who's made original songs (aka not cover artists like Laura). Final nail in the coffin for Europe.

tl;dr There's no active Vocaloid scene in Europe, hence no concerts. It's just not worth sinking money into touring.
