I quit right before season 2, completed the last event in season 1 and got the shiny gold medal on my desk. I can't come back yet right now as I am still in intensive phase of my job. What changed? Did they actually implement the friend system? Any new popular ships like Kashima?

Of all the posts literally only one of them is shitting and hating on KC. The others are, as I said, people who quit due to the mechanics of the game. Which again is understandable. While I personally enjoy the mini-stress of trying to break through nodes and break enemy armor and fiddling with RNG as opposed to breezing through an event in a few hours because I grinded my characters too much, it's completely fucking understandable why people would not want to deal with RNGfest and instead see consistent results.

Everything those posts say, from how fucking late the client update was, to the newfag gatewall, and the game lacking a real story are all valid criticism. And if you can't take said valid criticism you're what we call a mindless fanboy.

GFL fans don't hate KC. I'll shitpost about KC every once in a while in GFL threads and like 90% of it are people who like the girls, have played before, but quit because of the mechanics. The other 10% are people getting angry about another game being discussed, but that kind of reaction is given.

You are correct. I've played GFL and FGO for a while now and they have better gameplay than KC. The only reason I'm still in the KC fanbase is because of the lewds. I quit playing a year ago because the gameplay just sucks.

F2P discussion again? KC is more like a demo (or like the old shareware versions), you can play a big chunk of the game for free and then you need to pay if you want to collect all the kantai. Is a pretty fair model IMO, since you can play like 4-12 months without extra slots. At that point you either commit and give Tanaka some money or quit.
