That is sneaky because this statement is correct but at the same time it didn't paint the whole picture. Sure they are not preventing their talents from having relationships, but they are controlling what the talents can tell their fans, both as hololive members and roommate accounts as we've seen from Rushia and Suisei, probably Mel too. From Suisei's case we can see that as long as there is no direct proofs that they are dating, they can collaborate with other companies to cover it up. From Rushia's case, we can see how scary the NDA is in Japan. Off topic but I am amaze that in Japan women has less rights socially than in America. In America all lawyers, including the ones working for the guy is expecting the guy to pay alimony to the woman, meanwhile in Japan all parties are pressuring the woman to gave up on the alimony.

I can think of three big reasons.
1) Subject matter:
All threads about Japanese vtubers on /vt/ are bumped off the board by reddit tourists spamming threads about countless irrelevant western 2view twitch ethots whose avatars were made with tumblr-tier artwork.

2) Inherent Philosophical Differences:
/vt/ bans any mention of a vtuber's previous avatars/personalities/channels/etc and gives you a 3 day ban for posting about the person behind the vtuber's avatar aka their "roommate". They also forbid talking about the person's relationships. This is even often true if their old online persona was a vtuber. If you make a thread about Senzawa, for example, even if you don't mention Gura, the thread will likely be deleted.
The posters on /jp/ largely either don't care about the person behind the character or they care a lot about them and recognize the vtuber as just an avatar for their roommate. So posting about their other accounts is largely okay here.

3) Moderation:
Imagine if in the AKB threads here or any other thread about idols, whenever there was a scandal, the mods banned any mention of it and gave you a 3 day ban for even alluding to it. Imagine getting a 3-day ban here for calling a Japanese celebrity a whore.
That's what /vt/'s overly draconian moderation is like. Mods on /vt/ will also often give out 3 day site-wide bans for "trolling" if you say something overly negative or criticize a vtuber in their own thread. This isn't part of the rules and bans aren't issued impartially. Oftentimes, whether you get banned or not is determined by how the moderator personally feels about the vtuber you are criticizing. Additionally, if a thread is overall too negative or a moderator just doesn't like the subject of the thread, then they will often delete it, even if it's a popular topic with over a hundred replies.
Overall, /vt/ has a problem with over-moderation.

Basically, it's like asking, "Why do you keep making Touhou threads here instead of in /v/?" It's pretty much the same exact reason.
