My thought is that it would be a curse the Chief Goddess put on the Hero's bloodline just in case he fathered a son. The son becomes incredibly powerful but also incredibly dangerous to weak monsters and hopefully sows discord among their ranks. Except it's going to fall apart once the son realizes he needs someone sufficiently powerful to soak up his essence and quickly defeats the Chief Goddess before adding her to his harem along with the adventurous Big Sisters who followed him on his journey to protect him. I think A4 or A5 might bring expectations that there would be some form of story to those scenarios, which would be hard to do given that PC98 had pretty lackluster story, every game intro being "The hakurei shrine is full of youkai, go beat a nigga up"
The main issue is that ZUN has shoved his first 5 games into the foster home that is not being relevant. He doesn't talk about them, and brushes off their relevance whenever he does.
It would be damn near impossible from a writing perspective (not to say that they really put in much effort, it's so mediocre that I stopped caring a few months in), and it's not really popular enough that they could make money from it even if they did try. Only a few people would be interested in any of the PC98 characters, probably just Elly, Mima and maybe Kurumi or one of the 'Tsu sisters, assuming they even got that far. LLS is the most robust in terms of character likeability, MS only really has Alice, Yumeko and Shinki, and that's kinda being generous, SoEW and HRTP don't count, and PoDD would be a NIGHTMARE to string together.
TL/DR, PC98 isn't popular enough to warrant the investment that grining them back "properly" would bring, and remains on the niche end of Touhou in general, far removed from the reddit memes and the discord fumos.

PS: How long has that art of Mima been leaked for? Do you think they comissioned it in case they just wanted to be sure they could do *something* with it if it came down to it? or did they put it in there intentionally to bring speculation?

The other voice chat is OOC (Out of character) and yes, it's personal talk, girl gossip and they do make fun of your cringy or hate posts on twitter about them.

4. They're in it for the money, this is a business. It's not because "they love to make people happy", they're giving a service to entertain to help that brand and themselves get rich.
5. Some of the popular vtubers have great tricks with guilty tripping their supporters or even new people into giving superchats. From being a cute airhead that's too dumb to know anything or telling a fake sob story where they pretend to be social retards or super super shy in public and can only relate with their audience.

6. If the vtuber acts "super lewd" or "I'm a degenerate like you guys", it's SOMETIMES just an act to entertain the listeners, they likely just did research on a couple of doujin artists to say their names on stream or say certain things based on what their audience say on twitter/chat (this DOESN'T apply to every girl because there are dirty girls out there)

7. Due to the restrictions from Youtube, the vtubers are unable to do more "racy" streams, which they really want to do to gain tons of red superchats. An example said was "Bikini 3D streams"

8. When a vtuber doesnt stream of Christmas, it 100% of the time means they are fucking their boyfriend.
