ADTRW is terrible. The threads are fine, but you're posting about anime and otaku culture on a website notorious for thinking all anime fans are pedophiles. Lowtax and co. have made it clear they hate anime, and the forum only exists because people wouldn't shut up about anime in GBS. It doesn't help that Zorak is a Nazi and all the good posters left when they realized they didn't have to put up with only discussing socially acceptable anime (Akira is fine, but Cardcaptor Sakura is obviously for pedos).

The thing that pisses me off the most is that a lot of the more famous SA users and mods *like* anime, but they pretend not to. Slowbeef always makes fun of anime fans, but he helped translate an anime-style game. Seanbaby writes about anime and anime-style games. Carpe Fulgur translated doujinsoft with anime-style graphics. I can't say people's taste in actual animation for sure, but there seems to be this vibe that it's okay to like "good anime" (Gundam, Bubblegum Crisis, Ghost in the Shell...) as long as you don't like that pedo bullshit magical girl ecchi anime.

The dungeons are interesting. Too bad it is impossible to beat the game by dungeon running. Most of the junk you come across is worthless, you can only bring back a handful of items, dungeon exploring takes up a large chunk of time (which you only have a limited amount of before the bills have to be paid), and you can't stand around and farm, otherwise extremely hard enemies will spawn and rape you.

If, on the other hand, if you ignore dungeons completely and just resell stuff you buy in the other shop, you will have enough money to finish the game by the third week (the game is five weeks long). Extremely poor game design.

The translation is terrible and has memes scattered around. Not overwhelming /b/ shit, but enough to be annoying. Just like any game a Goon is involved in (Morrowind). In fact it's really ironic that a conservative Christian website like SomethingAwful, which mercilessly bans anyone that has the slightest hint of being a pedo, regardless of 2D or 3D, was involved in this game. Half the characters try to rape Recette, who can't be more than 5 years old.

The game has been spammed everywhere on 4chan, and the mods have persistently deleted all negative posts. See:
