Hm. Makes sense. And still I am utterly engrossed.. by.. go to the website and read it from the first page without starting to click Next.

My judgment is clouded, though.

>weed doesn't cloud judgment

There are some and I only know of the one: if you absolutely have to name a part or detail you are drawing, give it a name unrelated to what it is. Name it a color, an animal, whatever you like, name it anything but what it actually is or what it reminds you of.

Have you tried using a viewfinder?

Have you considered flipping the image you want to copy?

"I'm like such a sociopath, I manipulate the people around me to do what I want them to do"

Great job, Mister Rubberburner, you managed to realize that the people around you trust you not to lie to them and you abuse this trust and mistake that for some kind of innate psychological skill.

This might be why I don't appreciate photorealism at all. Faking it is just the conclusion of doing photorealistic images.
My two cents, nothing more.

Imagine how weird you must be in order to accept praise for someone else's work, how useless an artist you'd have to be to use lies and illusions just to have people who innocently don't know any better see you as something you are not.
