I got a tad salty a few week ago and it actually lead me to look at way and figure out what I could do in my work do better it.

I really want to get into drawing monsters lately. I feel like I have a decent grasp on anatomy and I feel like stepping out of the box and making monsters with crazy body types would be refreshing

At least 3 hours a day even if it’s just doodling and I try to finish everything I start. Other then that I just find the things that make me unhappy in my work and focus on that

For me this has been the best spot for motivation. The month I’ve been on here I feel like I’ve advanced much more then the last 6 months. I draw more, post more, read advice and apply them.

Funny thing is is that I just do this for me but the last thing I posted was on the towergirls thread but then right after someone else posted a fabulous peice and.....I felt....Agro lol. That was a very uncommon thing for me but right there I was like “ok what did they do, how can I do better line work, clearly you need to render better” after that I started drawing my next thing with the soul purpose on taking my time, paying attention to my lines and other things. Well...I’m not finished but I can already tell it’s going to be leagues better then anything I’ve ever done.

So ya. This place has helped me a lot. How bout you?

I’ve just been watching YouTube videos about it so nothing specific. But how it’s going to handle “oil paint” looks crazy. Even has a 3dish effect that makes it look like the paint has weight and makes it look slightly raised off the surface. I also like how youll be able to pick what kind of surface you want to paint on and when you do it match’s the look accordingly (like painting on canvas really looks like your painting on canvas)

The new Photoshop/project Gemini that comes out this year will be able to mix on screen. Looks really cool.

What color/opacity do y’all sketch in?(digital) I’ve been doing just hard black with 100 opacity, and I just switched to a lighter blue as I heard is a better color for that. My sketch’s do look better and I know I did not magically get better the last few hours.
