Okay, I tried to align the foot and the knee. I think this is the best version so far. Position seems to be a bit more natural.

I fixed the shoulder/collarbone issue too.

*edit* the foot just needed to be rotated slightly.

Sorry, I'm heavy /lgbt/.
Incorrect pronouns are my trigger. :P

Must be nice living in a place where people are just people.

I changed the rotation of the foot to see if it would help make it look less wonky. I prefer the original.

The color is better anyway.

I didn't notice how awkward they looked. Here's a quick fix with some color changes.

Im not really sure how to get the angle right.

I see a lot of artists that have really good mastery of planes, it's something I need to really invest some time in.

I think here is a good place to post. I've never posted in these threads before. What do you guys think?

Practice in achieving realistic lighting. I figure if I can master even simple stuff like this, rendering technically more difficult stuff would be easier.

What can I do to make it not meh?

It's just practice so I'm not really aiming for artistic masterpiece here, but if I could make it less "meh" that would be nice.

Start doing studies where you use as few lines to describe a form as possible. This helps you with speed and line control. Also your drawings will never suffer from spaghetti lines or chicken scratch.

Read the stick, do everything etc.

Oh wow, you're spot on with the tail... oops.

hmm, I'll need to put some more thought into my line width.

Thanks for the response! I can get this fixed right up.

I did a bit of painting. I'll fix up the lines and tail and post the final in a bit.

I need help with this before I try and paint it. This is really the first time I've tried to draw a bird from my own imagination. I did some studies on birds before I drew it, I even got a chance to watch a hawk flying around outside.
Something about it feels off and I cant place it. What am I missing here?

Ha, that's been my background for like a week now. Time to find another.

This was a hell of a lot more fun than I expected.
Feels when genuinely enjoying drawing.

Simple lines, more detail. :3

My bf said just about the same thing too.

Thanks for the help finding my direction!

Thanks for providing some legitimate critiques!

I wasn't too happy about her waist either. I wasn't really sure how to fix it without starting over on the lower body. Plus I liked how the form of the legs turned out and I didn't want to mess with it too much for fear of making it worse.

I did these two awhile ago, while they're a bit messier. It was before I started "painting" and mainly did linework. Thinking about returning to putting that much effort into my lines than just a couple strokes.
