Just finished this one. It's supposed to be the main character of a metroidvania. Maybe will end up as an enemy or npc. Been working on pixel art after work for a week and a half now.

the jacket isnt good. some parts have no volume like its a plane bended, no thickness to it. overall the jacket is not belivable looking. the good parts of it are the sleeves.

search tag ambient occlusion.

you can use step by step method in greyscale. first make ambient occlusion then shadow shape then bounce light. there are few videos about it on cg peers.your render isnt that bad. spend 1-2h on face extra cause its not that good. best part is tummy.

the lines inside are as thick as outside ones you shouldnt do that imo.

keep on practising.
