Yeah that happens too.
People need to be able to separate practice for shit like detailed construction and different exercise from when they actually apply the skills those exercises teach.

Yes.

All the clutter that comes with most construction techniques is only there for practice and learning. You really shouldn't need to draw every bone and muscle every time you draw the human figure. It's just for practice, not every time you apply your skills.

It depends on what era.

I think 2015 would be the cutoff of the 2000s era and what we are in now.
From about 2000 to 2015 was the era of renewed individual expression thanks to the internet, while mainstream media also got better for a while while trying to keep up. Animation went from fucked, to really good by the end of it (except 2d RIP).

From 2015 to now has been more of a transitional period. Society went from showing some cracks to going up in flames so quickly that most people can still barely figure out what happened.

The progressive ideals that used to make up the counter-culture have become mainstream. From 2015 to now, pop-culture media went from mindless escapism, to being more critical of reality and having some kind of point to make. I think we will see a shift in creator-driven independent media from cynical to just flat out escapism itself.

Its a good feeling to watch perverts cry, cope, and seethe because their porn supply might be cut off.

>NOOOO i dont care if kids are being raped!! I want my porn!!!
>Addiction? Don't make me laugh!

I think for the lines, when do the final linework, just practice being confident in the lines. Be decisive in what the lines look like, thickness, where they are, etc.

Like the drawing

Part of me thinks that adding a built in drawing thing is a good idea because it would mean more drawings, but I feel like at that point there would be no difference between this and /i/

Whats up with art fags on twitter and being cringe?

No other site would this be risky, but on twitter you could actually have people hate you for being Christian.

I think that its because twitter is the only platform where people can become influential in the "art" community without actually posting art, but I can't be sure.

Even if the anatomy on this were perfect, the pose doesn't seem natural. Why do you have the chest facing left, the collar facing forward, the head turned left, and the eyes focused forward again?

Also I'm not an expert on line weight but I think you gave too much to the sides of the face

This painting makes me want to see more. I think would fare better in a series of panels that tells a story or progresses in some way.

looks goooood!
don't know why but his art reminds me of ukyio e. maybe the colors or the clear lines, the compositions, the way he works with space? i really can't tell. his pictures seem 'always' well balanced like some kind of zen drawing.
