try actually drawing the more intricate features like hands and feet properly. It'll give an overall better sketch.

Skype: Ulteriorvision

Age: 19

Where from: England.

Skill Level: Beginner.

What kind of art do i do: (concept art/illustration) Characters/environments, like doing anatomy and learning it. Got a shit load of work to do though, need to get better at rendering and understanding values/forms and structure. So I'm currently structuring a schedule to learn all of that as soon as possible but also at my own pace. Also need to fix up initial sketches.

Another thing, everyone seems to keep explaining is form/structure to me. A lot of people in the past keep saying you need to focus on gestures instead of form/structure.

Can someone explain the difference between structuring and gesturing or do they go hand in hand.

tried a google search but couldn't find the stages. Also dat craig. I just need to know the process.

This is what confuses me though, because, I assume he just layered his shapes and colors down.

Does the artist have a tutorial of this, like a few images in succession each promoting a stage of the sketch?

was just trying to help someone out, by simplifying stuff. It was clear he just drew off an image, some of the stuff there is pretty good for doing anatomy atleast imho. I am nowhere as good as you think i think I am. I know im pretty bad tbh, but I thought helping someone out on a thread who received no replies was better than him ahving no info on how to improve a little at all.

Sorry if you feel like im a dick, not much I can do about that.

This has got to be bait.

Conflicting physique, not sure whats going on with the anatomy, although its not absolutely incorrect its not exactly adhering to a specific gender

inb4 genderless otherkin humanoid elephant, but i think it should be slimmer, also use references. The arm looks masculine and the shoulders do too. Face obviously isn't proportionate. Lips should be a little lower, nose higher.

chest and abdomen regions look sorta elongated. When I get some spare time i'll make sure to do a redline just keep hopping back here.

agreed would be a great share, although, if you google search the image by right clicking it you can find the exact workshop which is pretty cool.

I tried searching for it, is it a podcast? If so highly appreciate it if you could pass it onwards dude.

Mileage.

This word, I acknowledge and embrace it. I know i have to put the work and effort in, and i will, i can constitute a good 5-10 hours a day for art and i will.

Thanks for the advice.

Also, in-terms of sketching, to 'finish a sketch', is it better to begin on smaller sizes or larger, because everytime i start a sketch i slap straight onto B3 (4500x5000 or something).

how would I go about 'finishing the sketch' ? I get to this stage every time, of a concept, but can't progress it into a finished sketch.

Is there something perhaps wrong with my tools or is it pretty much that i lack skill?

Its really frustrating not being able to push my sketches finely, everytime i try to do solid lines i cant and it looks retarded. like a cartoon drawing.
