Unironically, racetams, moda and other nootropics. While the rest of the thread will jest you and offer you things with potential downside and addiction, these nootropics will amplify your focus and allow you to put out a solid 4-8 hours work daily, With no downside (apparently, a miniscule # of the population can get a really nasty migraine on modafinil, so look out for that by trying adrafinil first.)

These are some of the best tools modern chemistry has come up with, and have been used by business moguls and programmers for decades, with backing science proving their effectiveness while also showing no downsides, no withdrawal and a permanent positive effect ( in the case of modafinil)

I always had thought I was a low IQ retarded baby, and because of that stayed far away from learning complex concepts like perspective and anatomy. But after creating a stack with these (Also, losing a lot of weight since I was obese and re-learning how to learn things since the education system is a sham) I sat down with Scott Eaton's anatomy lessons and surprised myself by learning it all within the 8 week period. I'd say I've retained 75-85% of the information 5 months later, being able to remember key shapes and forms, only lacking in their proper names

I'm now using it to tackle comparative Anatomy and creature Anatomy, since creature design and illustration interests me

I'd say the most important thing is to first make sure your life is in check. Exercise frequently and eat healthy. Neglecting these saps any potential motivation and makes it more difficult to focus deeply for any extended period of time

This all hinges on your routine and your ability to schedule your time to begin with. Because if you don't do those things, you end up on 4chan telling someone about the nootropics you took, like I currently am.

Monitoring thread if anyone else is curious

Checked, nice 7's senpai. Good luck will come your way

Piracetam is a solid choice, the classic. But generally, Aniracetam is stronger with more pronounced effects and Noopet is just a stronger version of Piracetam so both are really good choices too. I'm currently using Noopet in my stack since Aniracetam is a bit more challenging for me to get my sticky lil fingers on

Phenylpiracetam is also powerful, but it more aids in hand-eye coordination and motion, hence it being banned in sports as a performance enhancer. I'd say it works well but not as much as the others.

good luck homie <3

I am interested. I just got off bupropion because it was giving me social anxiety (and anxiety in general) but the one thing I miss was how productive I was regarding art. I want to try the piracetam, wheres a reputable source to get it?

Honestly (and there probably will be a couple people who disagree with me here) since piracetam isn't considered prescription grade, any provider that you find who has credentials that fit your personal standard. I happen to pick mine up on amazon, but any online vendor probably has the same quality. I've also seen it once or twice at local health and supplement stores, but it seems to be a more niche product.

Your comment on social anxiety made me think of an important caveat:

Piracetam is probably safe since it works through different pathways, but I will warn you: for someone who has experience mild panic and anxiety (but never gone out of my way to get a doctor involved) there was a day where I had taken modafinil, and with my enhanced memory I kept remembering embarrassing thing/ stupid mistakes I had done in the past, and spent the day in a massive slump. It was bad. That's when I realized I had to spend more time fixing my headspace. Its safe to say that was a one-time experience for me, but it's just a heads up to any other readers. Even drugs with no side effects can bring up personal negative experiences. Always use moderation and pace yourself

Do me a solid- the next time that happens either read a news article while listening to a podcast (trying to follow two conversations at once-the goal is to burnout), or play a game of Tetris. Something you have to focus all your attention on.

Heard the Tetris thing was tested for dealing with trauma, found the podcast thing myself. I want to see if it actually works.

Thank you for the tip friend. I ended up fully investing myself in minecraft for the day. Something still creative and something I could fully dive into while not feeling like I had wasted my time. I'd imagine tetris (or any other heavily cognitive game, like dual-N-back) would produce quicker and better effects, since they require even more attention. I would imagine that the podcast will have to be something very interesting to you or attention grabbing to have its full effect.

I will add this to the story
The day after, I sat down and meditated for an hour. And for that hour I imagined my mind as an attic (the thought came to me since I am a classic sherlockian and in the books he refers to it as such) with book shelves and boxes and a mess of litter everywhere. Each bit of clutter was representative of a memory or thought. I cleared a space and went through things, Anything that I found brought on feelings of inadequacy, anxiety or pain I would examine carefully for their truth, and if there was any use in holding onto them to this day. Everything that did not add up, I threw down a garbage chute ( I guess my attic had a garbage chute, weird attic)

By the end of it, I had cleaned up the mess and haven't experienced the same level of anxiety again. I can still remember the events and things I did throw down the cute. They aren't gone, but I dont have the same negative fixation on them.

thank you for reading my blog post senpai. I hope what I went through can help in any way if you're still struggling <3

I'm in Canada, so this link prob won't work for you, but here is the Noopet I use and it works nice.

https://www.amazon.ca/Noopept-20-Strength-Cognitive-Piracetam/dp/B01LYUUOOS/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3B7FO5UGSG0N2&keywords=piracetam&qid=1578070385&sprefix=piracitam%2Caps%2C149&sr=8-1

Lions mane and the other mushroom powders are good as an immune support but that pretty much it, it's just strange and foreign enough that people will buy into it. Even the strongest nootropics can't make you highlander and most of it is exorbitant lies. Usually, the best you can get out of a nootropic is a 10-30% increase of your current rate or level. It's difficult to wade through the shit sometimes, especially when its pushed or connected to a celebrity.

Of course I was nebulous at first, but all I did was pick one thing, set aside the money for it, and then if it worked, it worked. I started with adrafinil, an alternative and less healthy version of moda. It cost me around 30$ and the difference was noticeable. Good enough for me to start a routine with it. The thing with Nootropics is that people are so worried that its a scam, they limit their potential because they spend the time trying to evaluate whether its working or not. and vice versa, they have so much faith that they allow the placebo to take hold (which, if I take a pill that allows me work focused an few extra hours, even if it was placebo, it was worth it)

>>4289011
Knowledge is key in all of this. Correcting your physical performance will always yield the best outcome. Especially if you are moving from very unhealthy to being healthy. Once you're living better, study what nootropics interest you and weigh their positives and negatives. Always fact check and never take celebrity endorsements at face value. When you find something you want to invest in, set some money aside to get the smallest effective dose.

basically. Be smart

Thanks. I just ordered aniracetam and will try piracetam later. Where do you order your stuff?

How long were you on nootropics? I dont like relying on substances but since I already drink coffee to keep the demons away I might as well try other (legal) things.

>> No.4289472

>>4289431
for the racetams and easier to get substances, I can order them on amazon. But for moda, there's a bit longer of a waiting period since I need to get it imported. That is through this website

https://www.buymoda.org/

I've used Nootropics off and on for around 8 months. I have had previous issues with addiction (drinking especially) but what I have used has been radically different. I have never felt inclined to abuse it, you don't feel like you need to take it. If I had to describe it, it feels more like taking a vitamin. Like oh, time for my Omega 3 pills. You take them because they're good for you mind, but your body doesn't crave them. Modafinil has effects that help change how you think over time, so after extended periods you might not even need it.

I could have probably gotten my hands on adderall or other focus enhancing medication that would be even stronger, but there are serious, serious side effects and a chance for addiction with them, so I avoid it. Research is super important when it comes to this stuff. Making sure your taking the minimum effective dose and cycling on and off days

I hope the Aniracetam works well for you anon, and you can crunch those extra hours out <3

Right. nevermind.
So how much of this do you take?
I've tried taking quarter of 200mg tab, and it's pretty ridiculous how buzzed I get. Definitely productive, but holy hell. That shit has got to be addictive.

>> No.4293444

If you are depressed, adderall/vyvanse may help a lot. I have tried about 4 different antidepressants and they don't help much. Adderall makes me optimistic, so I stopped my antidepressants and I have been much better.

HOWEVER, note that Adderall isn't going to improve your life. It does give you the energy (and maybe optimisim) to get your life back on track. Exercise (even if its just putting in earbuds and taking a stroll), take care of your self in terms of hygiene, draw while you watch whatever, and DRINK WATER. Your mood seriously gets brighter. A gallon a day is hard to work up to but once you do it seriously makes a huge impact. No salt bloat, no sluggishness. Self-esteem will improve too.

And don't abuse the adderall. Take your prescribed dose. If you can't fall asleep at night, talk to your doctor about cutting your dose in half. LESS IS BETTER.

But know that medication is 5% of the recovery. The other 95% is up to you.

Also, try to draw in different places, even if it is around the house. Sitting in your corner and sketching may feel more refreshing since you're seeing your living space at a different perspective, if that makes any sense. Sit in the closet. It is oddly refreshing.
