Something's broken, what do I do?

>The original developer of the site has taken a leave for quite a while, originally due to medical reasons. Progress on the site is almost non-existant at this point. You can try contacting him at @LavaFlake or emailing him at [e-mail].

What do we draw?

>Whatever you want. At this point there's no required topic so draw your heart out. Make sure you submit at least a half hour of work or you may get a low effort warning.

What's a low effort warning?

>The goal is to get people to draw every day by turning it into a competition. The low effort warning system is to prevent people from posting last minute, quick sketches when they're feeling lazy. If you receive a warning and it happens again within a month you'll be eliminated.

>This rule has been the cause of a lot of concern amongst newer artists so let me reiterate: this system is to police low effort content and has nothing to do with the quality of the work. New artists are more than welcome.

What happens if I'm eliminated?

This. If I'm having a good day and submit something at or above my skill level then I get ignored or someone gives me a "nice". I've now only post when I'm having a really shitty day and produce something below my skill level or if I do something that I haven't done before and fail at it. However I'm gonna stop doing that too because if I post something shitty than people just hurl insults at you or give you vague crits like "everything is wrong read all these books" instead of actually looking at your work and giving you proper advice. It really is a waste of time and can actually be demoralizing, I feel like very few people on here actually want to help others.

How do I into tumblr style? A lot of the people I see seem to have somewhat shoddy fundamentals but they're still able to make their stuff look interesting and cool. (at least for my taste) When I see them try to draw something more realistic or not stylized than they flounder but all they're stylized stuff has a certain appeal to it regardless of skill level. This particular picture seems to be based on a lot of real life references.
The artist tried to represent what they see using simple shapes and very little different lines.
Also it is rather noisy/random with details which makes it more interesting (just one simple character this simplified wouldn't stand well as a picture).
If you want to draw like this I'd recommend learning basics of perspective, graphic design and observation skills.

Also, my version of las (las2.esy.es) just got tags properly working.

Some drawing today bugs:
-If you type in the Login form before the loading complete, the input field will be empty when the page is done loading.
-Uploading images won't let your options come through (like allow comments).
-Submissions doesn't display on phone (I'm using UC Browser) while Lavaflake's and las2 work on my phone.

- Never seen or tried UC browser. Does no submissions load? No thumbnails on frontpage or submissions page? Or is it when viewing single submissions (full image)?

My Photoshop brush somehow is changing the way it "works" and i haven't touched any of the brush settings at all. It suddenly just starts to blend 100% better i don't have clue why. Maybe it's just the schizophrenia setting in.

1. You just got better at blending and didn't realize it
2. You're using a similar but slightly different brush
3. There's something wrong with your tablet settings or drivers

Fir the third one, everything is empty below the blue navigation bar. The only things that still work are the login and register forms, and there are no streaks on the right corner too. This might be hard for you to do debug and test so I don't think it matters much as a bug if no one else has problem with it.

Seems UC browser doesn't support some javascript feature I'm using, but I have no idea what. I tried disabling a bunch of stuff but it had no effect. Every page is blank for you since javascript is throwing an exception, and never loading in properly, so all the data the page has isn't show (it's all rendered through javascript). I don't have any way to check what it's complaining about since there is no console log available in this browser it seems, so kinda difficult to figure out what the problem even is.

Bottom line is UC browser is not officially supported by Vue, which the site relies on. The error could be anything.

Probably not adding option to submit multiple images at once as one submission. You can post as many images as you like one by one though. Depends on what youve done. If its a bunch of individual sketches id just combine them into one fuckhuge image. If separate pieces, post one by one. Just post through out the week while you do work, no need to wait for your 1 day a week to post all.
