Dumb gimmick, if i wanted to draw in 3D I'd use software designed for it, like Blender.

bro most mangakas have teams of min 6 professional artists working FOR them, all of them use csp features to take shortcuts to finish the chapter in time

Why he drawing on it from 3/4 view? The end result looks distorted, just look at that eye. Draw from a full front view then rotate to get a guesstimate of what said features would look like from the new angle.

People have been doing this in Blender for years, I guess it's nice to not have to composite shit, but that's hardly the part that needed optimizing.

Fuck no. Why is cucksys hellbent on putting 3D shit as new version update? Is it because they realized they've got nothing useful to add?

Celsys ironically unequivocally needs Indian programmers at this point for GPU acceleration.

>> No.7509967

Can't you do this shit in Blender? I wish I didn't get filtered every time I try to learn it. Not interested in tracing but it seems like a great resource for making quick mock-ups and lighting them to use as a ref.

What would you do with GPU accelleration?

>> No.7509998

>>7509613
The GPU isn't the problem. The app uses only 1-2 threads for the drawing. Disabling Hyperthreading/SMT helps with the fluidity, so it seems like it's probably 2, but it could still be 1 and there's just threadhopping occurring mid-drawing

I see uses for it. Like if you're drawing some sort of pattern, like a tattoo, on a character and want to get an idea of how it looks from a different angle on the character. Basically it allows for quick, simple customization of the model's surface. For most stuff, though, yes, it wouldn't be nearly as helpful as actually modeling, or even just partially modeling what you want. Like just making a quick model of the hairdo and slapping it on the base would have far more utility than doodling flat hair on the model's surface

I suggested the lens blur feature to CSP and I'm going to take credit for it.

I'm still on version 1, but I wish there was more customization with the body types. It's great you can adjust the weight and height of most features of the body, but I don't like how the chest and abs on male figures are squeezed together into a "torso" category. I also think it'd be neat if you could adjust muscle and fat distribution individually (a wide but small chest for example).

you’re not a real artist.

YOU'RE NOT A REAL ARTIST! "Auxiliary 3D models" for Christ’s sake? "preset poses"? What a sick joke. I worked my ass off to get where I am, and you take these shortcuts and you think suddenly you’re my peer? You do what I do because your generic traced anime girls are lewd and can make people send you "likes"?! I committed my LIFE to this! You don’t just slide into it like a cheap pair of slippers and then reap all the rewards!

I know you. I know what you were, what you are. People don't change! You're Tracin' Jimmy! And Tracin' Jimmy I can handle just fine, but Tracin' Jimmy with Clip Studio Paint is like a chimp with a machine gun! Art is *sacred*! If you abuse that power, people lose their livelihood! This is not a game! And you *have* to know that on some level, I know you know I'm right. You know I'm right!

where do you DRAW the line? Are you going to accept every shortcut that exists? Why even draw? DO YOU FEEL NO SHAME?

>> No.7511899

>>7511786
Artists have been using mannequins and maquettes as visual reference tools since forever. At least you're actually posing the thing and choosing your persepctive instead of just using somebody else's photograph which already made all those decisions.
