You have to be a little dim to not see how it doesn't deserve hate. It causing slop to flood art sites. It influences the artist in an inauthentic way and subtly steers the artist to create le generic pretty picture in place of a well thought out composition. It offers and easy "out" for artists who just want clout to shun the actual creative aspects of art. A tool is usually supposed to help you achieve something specific, AI just does the legwork for you while the "artist" becomes a glorified commissioner.
