In my opinion? Go draw from memory the entire manga (Or past golden age, that might be better, I do not exactly remember when the art went from awkward but good to just good). Simply look at a panel, put it away and draw what you can remember. It is way more difficult copying, but also faster. You are also forced to actually remember the things you want to draw, which is a big help.

Manga authors aren't salaried and aren't employees of anybody, actually. I realize I'm responding to some insane schizo but just in case anybody who isn't witless is reading this, what he's saying would make a hint of sense (if he wasn't pretending all japanese live in meme shoebox apartments/internet cafes) if you were talking about the average salaryman, but you're talking about the fringes that broke out of that system. They still have their constraints, but they are their own boss just like most authors world wide. More than many even, they actually own the work they make and can take it to other publishers once the contract is up. Manga authors, despite how hard they have to work to keep up with deadlines, don't have it too bad all things considered.

this isnt impressive in any way. the trees are just filled black with some random nonsensical hatch marks vertically relative to the tree trunk. they dont imply bark. they dont obey perspective. they do not show contour of the tree or the bulging and twists of the branches and trunks. zod is poorly rendered. the sun is above. it should be more blacks on his underside, especially with how the rest of the scene is rendered. instead its very generic and thoughtless gradient. the size of zod is absurdly massive. hes large, but not nearly to the scale he is with him flying high above the treeline. there is no detail on the people. that underside chin of guy looking up with cross bow is hilariously bad. the lack of rendering on them despite being in the pitch black forest is lazy. this is one of the worst pages of berserk ive ever seen and you should delete it to hide how fucking bad an artist he actually is. values, composition, hatchwork, technique - its fucking embarassing.
