if you spend a lot of time in that room, how could you not at some point feel the urge to throw those things away, or to clear some stuff out from time to times?

I am not trying to judge, just curious, because I kind of remember where I was at the time when I was facing down my hoarding habits, started around 2020 I've decided that I should dedicate certain time of day to do a little bit of cleaning and organizing everyday, and eventually I work through most of the clutter. It didn't solve all of my problems, but at least it stopped getting in the way.

Claiming that you don't have 'time' to is just you rationalizing and/or being in denial whatever mental illness/condition you have and not seeking help for.

Record collectors usually want the sound to be as clean as possible but I don't really care about that, I think it really depends on your personal preferences
Any record is fine by me as long is doesn't skip
Most of my albums were released in the 60s when this was still the most popular audio format so the original mixes are optimized for vinyl so they sound better like this even if the sound isn't as clean
Some digital mixes are outright terrible
The worst thing about digital mixes is that they tebd to crank up the bass and muffle other instruments, sometines to a point where some instruments can't be heard at all
You can find vinyl rips on youtube of course but still I think they sound better through a record player for some reason

I don't know if this even makes sense, might just be a placebo

Depends on the country really but the big catch usually is simply that work spaces are allegedly not ideal for your wellbeing, actual reason space speculation born out of the boomer era. So you can't live in the office your work simply because (from a societal organizative point) your government wants you to live in a cute overpriced house where can leech your money off in addition to the taxes it gets from the workplace

interesting, what kind of art do you make? its possible for me to color on mouse but its just not something I enjoy doing. I draw as a hobby and I do have a bad habit of browsing art stores just to see whatever strike my interest, and sometimes I'll just get stuff to try it out. For me its not about the bare minimum of what I needed, but what i can do with it and how it impacts my process, and having accumulated supplies is just a result of trials and error. yeah.

do you ink using a mouse too? how do you digitize your manuscripts? If you have a good way to reproduce lines I suggest inking on paper too if you haven't already, since you say you aren't very kin on using tablets. One of the advantage of drawing traditionally is how immediate the sensation of mark making is, and to that you can make more textural pieces with more lines, just in comparison to how much more difficult mouse is in terms of making lines in my opinion. I am making this suggestion is because I felt the piece you attach is too clean, could stand to have more line and texture, and its easier to do it on paper if you are not using a tablet.

Two squares can do what a ruler does, in addition of the stuff you can do only with squares. Overall it's a better all rounder tool. Mechanical pencils are prone to breaking, there's a limit on the types of lines you can get out of them, and it's easier, more efficient and economically convenient to buy just a sharpener and a bag of wood pencils than a couple of mechanical with their ammo (you WILL lose the ammo)
You do you tho, I was just jesting

they are really clean. I really should have paid more attention when people post their wips in /mmg/.

they are more complex yes, but they don't really have more texture, per say. Its hard to explain what I was getting at but more like variation in line weight, and some sort of inperfection in the inking, and stuff like line shading or hatch marks. Although I understand those things make it more difficult to color so maybe its the way your workflow pans out. just something to consider.
