It's all A.I tier meme surrealism because these modern illustrators literally go trough a checklist after sketching some random shit on their chinese tablets, and one of the "must haves" is narrative, meanwhile always clinging to the " leave open for interpretation" when the viewer asks himself

The problem isn't that it doesn't have "meaning", the problem is just that what it's trying to convey has already been conveyed a 100 times before, endlessly regurgitated in pop culture time and time again, it's so worn that there's simply absolutely nothing novel or interesting about it, just like how most people couldn't care less about landscape paintings these days.

This might sound a bit weird because this type of art, all things considered, is quite new, the attitude from where it originates is not. It's been endlessly refracted thousands and thousands of times in different forms, mediums etc. and that attitude, that perspective simply isn't interesting or novel in this day and age, it's weary and tired like a lumpy sack of tomatoes.
