You see,the answer to the question is not "because I want to have fun", "because I want to earn money" or "because I want to find friends by drawing", or "because it's my true calling in life". In truth, there is no single true answer to this question and each of these answers are as valid as the other one is. The true purpose of this question is to have you always thinking, always searching for a conclusive answer, only to eventually be set back to the beginning. It's a mystery that can never be solved because it perpetuates itself.

I wanted to draw the cool dinosaurs I saw on the TV, so I drew crappy little stick figures that somewhat resembled them. Now I could say that they're somewhat alright.

I've restarted learning to draw like 7 times over the years. The first time was cause I wanted attention in school when I slacked off most of the time. Then it was porn, now I'm trying to learn because I like the process now and genuinely want to explore what I can do with the craft.

I was always interested in drawing, but every time I tried I saw how bad it was and stopped. I thought that you had to study as a kid or be born with talent. But in 2020, because of Covid, I had to stay at home and at that time I didn't have internet and my shitty laptop only had some really old games that I already played dozens of times, so I was incredibly bored. With the limited data that I had on my phone I searched for drawing tutorials and found out Drawabox, which I thought was really useful as a beginner. Usually, after trying it and looking at the horrible result, I would stop, but I didn't have literally anything else to do, so I cringed and continued. I also watched a few videos from mikeymegamega at 240p and copied his basic tutorials. I remember one particular drawing that I did in one of those first days after starting learning to draw, using the same construction method that I was copying, it was Rakka from Haibane Renmei. To my surprise, it actually looked like her, and it felt fucking amazing, I felt like I could actually learn to draw and that I didn't have to be born with talent.

Tldr; Covid made me to
