picrel, I want to switch between using the arm and drawing on my desk. But (see the next post)

but because of the arm mount on the back of the cintiq (red), instead of the bottom edge (green) and the arms (yellow) touching my desk, it's one of the screws of the mount (yellow) and the arms carrying the weight. Is that okay? Any workarounds?

What is the issue? Is it uncomfortable?

It's not uncomfortable. I'm worried the one screw might snap since it's supporting the majority of the weight (like 16 pounds probably)

on my 22hd I just took it off the stand along with took the ring off the back that held it to the stand and put my arm on it.

You could try taping a thick rubber or foam piece to the bottom edge so it can rest on that instead of the screw. I'd be more worried of the screw gouging your desk out.

Your arm attached to it without the ring?
>>7068742
Wow, that's a great idea. I'll have to give it a try.

For now I tried a few of these and they seem to work (and also make it so that the cable isn't pressed hard and bent on my table since the display tablet is higher off the table now). Thanks anon!

Would it shift as you draw on it?
I know you can tightened the screws but is that a concern?

On the desk or on the arm?
On the desk not really
On the arm yes it moves a bit. You can tighten stuff but it's still going to move. You just have to get used to it.
I've been drawing like that for a few years with no problems but trying it out on my desk I think there was still a big improvement.
