Loomis is definitely not a great cartoonist, though there are some good drawings in fwap, particularly towards the later half.
That said, his cartoony baby drawings are fucking nightmare inducing levels of hideous.

All the lessons are solid though.

try drawing real life references or characters from a piece of media you like, but use the loomis method to get down their proportions and facial feature placement.


copying the blooks is fine but they're mainly just there to give you something to test the method out on in the book itself.
