The threads work by artists drawing whoever they want. A trade is a nice gesture but not required.

Nta, I've done art trades with people far better and farworst than me and it was rarely an issue because it's the thought that counts at the end of the day. Regardless of skill, when people draw in good faith it shows. And besides you can always toss back a simple doodle in return if you aren't feeling the oc or the art you received. But keep in mind this an art and /ic/ should be about drawing.

Either way, the thread should be played by ear to improve the general, but so far the people who do draw seem to be satisfied with proper art exchanges so the rest is just noise now isn't it?

This is Ayumu, he's a schizophrenic "ghost" who haunts an asylum believing himself to be among the dead. He thinks he can see spirits and unknowingly tulpa-posts his visions into reality, causing the asylum to become infested with paranormal activity and later abandoned. He's prone to meltdowns and is terrified of everything.
In this universe (Japexico) I'm currently playing with the idea of ghosts being greyscale, so he can appear greyscale at night while using his power or can have fair skin in light since he's not actually a ghost.

She's an earwig thing from an eldritch dimension that just wants to become human and not deal with dreadful things beyond human comprehension, but this form is the best she could do. Of course, participation in the themes would never be mandatory, they'll be more like fun optional prompts. I'll think it over and make a new thread later.
