Storytelling technique?

I’ve been trying to develop a storytelling technique across a picture using abstraction (making certain things ambiguous so your mind interprets them as multiple things)

Any thoughts on how successful/unsuccessful this painting is at that?

Doesn't work at all on me. Beksinski and Giger had great storytelling through abstract shapes and through colors.

Those were fairly literal images though, there’s no movement of the story across the picture plane. The story is only apparent, there’s very little hidden in them that is left for interpretation.

It means beksinski reads similar to concept art. The image you’re seeing has a binary interpretation, even if the interpretation is fantastical and dreamlike.

like you've literally just regressed to /beg/ tier at this point brian. My first attempt at oil painting was far better than this, you need to stop telling yourself that you're a genius and actually learn to draw and paint with technique.
