pick g-pen, enable pen pressure on either opacity or density settings (try both of them at once if you feel like it) , and if it doesn't work outright i'd fiddle with the pressure curve of the brush, but i believe unless you have a crazy global curve through either your tablet driver or csp itself it should just werk.

also an opinion, but gesture stuff (which this thing looks like, i don't know the source) looks better with pencil brushes, especially if your tablet supports tilt sensitivity. i've the whole daub set for csp but his pencil brushes seem to be outright free:

Fellas does photoshop use more ram the more brushes you have? I'm using ps 2021 and thinking about installing an updated cracked version or exporting unused brushes to a folder and using only a few.

Used to take up only 2-3g gigs of ram now it takes 6+ gigs.

i don't know if you're already an established user of designdoll, but if you're not, i recall the program absolutely sucking at it's purpose... that and cracks were imperfect i think, importing models didn't work. if you're an animu person i personally enjoyed easy pose, even if there's no crack for it you may have luck with steam emulators (though since it isn't free to download on steam you'd need to find clean steam files) on windows and luckypatcher on android. if you're more into realism istebrak was associated with a similar program called portraitstudio for her to get members for her black and white portrait fetish cult, as much as she is kinda off putting to me i remember my experience was enjoyable albeit it's been a while since i used it. i got it off cgpeers, if it still has seeds i might try to get it for you!

if you have a group with like 20 tabs and 1k brushes it will lag pretty bad, just break it down into smaller groups, it will only lag whenever you click on the group and CSP need to read all the contents, and thats mainly on brushes that are big in size like all the glitch brushes that are like 30MB each

It really depends what you're trying to do, if you want to make comics then you probably gonna need some hatching/screentone brushes and a g-pen with starting and ending stroke enabled, if you want to paint an edged brush, a textured blender and a rake are also good things to have because they speedup your workflow.
Imo the best thing about the assets store is the 3d models and poses (and specific brushes like foliage, scars, etc), the rest is just fluff and experimentation for the most part.

If you download a .brushset file (procreate brushes) and change it do .zip instead you can get the png files from them as well and put them on CSP or PS, but you'll have to play with the settings alot to get at least a similar feel since the brush engine is totally different, I tried it once but gave up because I don't really know how to play with the brush settings, but many people have tried to recreated procreate brushes on CSP, one of them is the Artemus Pencil on clip studio assets

I know this isnt the best place to say, especially in a digital-focused thread.
But traditional colored pencils and pencils are fantastic learning tools, I really believe you should try working with some traditional media. I find it to be very fun, and I learn a lot more with it than most digital tools due the added discipline and the lack of crutches.
I find myself turning to traditional when I find myself burnt out on digital art. I think switching back and fourth every so often benefits a lot in the learning process.

THIS is why you DON'T buy brushes, ESPECIALLY on Clip Studio Assets.

Fucking idiot messed up his brush, so what does he do? DELETES IT after almost 30K people spent 300 clippy on it, then reuploads it AND CHARGES MORE MONEY TO GET IT AGAIN.

Keep in mind, Clip Studio allows you to reupload updated versions of brushes and link it to your original upload so that anyone who bought it will get the fixed version for free.

THIS FUCKING FAGGOT deleted the old brush to force you to buy the updated version, which by his own admission, is not much different from the original.

Oh and the original brush? if you have it downloaded you can use it. Didn't have it downloaded for whatever reason? FUCK YOU I GUESS.

it's not exactly a brush question, but I don't really use CSP but I would like to start more. I have my workspace set up from a while ago and don't want to revert to default everything. How do I get my tools to show the stroke like on the right instead of what I have? I thought here made more sense than posting in the question thread

Never used it, but it's my understanding that it's got the same appeal as Corel where you're able to draw very traditional style paintings with close to realistic color mixing and paint simulation. If that's something interesting to you maybe consider it.

these are INFINITE PAINTER brushes so don't go on autopilot to download them for photoshop or clip studio paint, however .przp and .prbr are poorly encrypted .zip files so if you rename the file extension for .przp files will seperate into .prbr files, and if you rename the file extension for .prbr files you can see the assets that were used to make this brush, and use it in other programs that support custom brushtips & textures. this process works on my android device but my windows computer doesn't let me access after decrypting .prbr files. i don't know the state of ios / pados but i heard file management is hell there.

Note: I didn't download the brush so I probably can't answer questions, this is just a quick translation

1. Use Tマーカー/ベース塗り to paint the first layer. It's a brush with a lot of blotchiness. Layering it will result in darker colors so I suggest using the blender to even it out if you want a more consistent color. Leaving in the blotchiness/unevenness will make it look more authentic

2. Continue to use Tマーカー/ベース塗り where you want darker colors. Note that layering will smooth out the blotchiness. If you want to keep the marker look, I recommend only using Tマーカー/ベース塗り up to 2-3 times, and using Tマーカー/乗算 for the rest

3. Make the rest of the dark parts darker with Tマーカー/乗算. This brush uses blend modes. Layering with this brush will result in pencil marks(? outlines?), so if you want to avoid those I recommend using it in one stroke.

4. You can use the blender (Tマーカー/ブレンダー) to smooth out gradations and blotches. Overusing will kill the texture though so I recommend not overdoing it. You can adjust how much you want to spread colors in the settings

You can also do things like use Tマーカー/乗算 from the start; there are many ways to use these brushes so please experiment.

After that is the 2 gray squares where the author says if you accidentally killed the texture you can use 質感/マーカー用 on an overlay layer at 30% to bring back some texture

And then in the examples they mention that they also used their watercolor brush 水彩色鉛筆風ブラシ as well as a paper texture (overlay layer w/lowered opacity)

By not using layer modes. They are frankly outdated and are only good for quick concept art, where it's not critical as long as shadow locations are correct. Lights and VFX benefit from them, too.
Good options for getting better colors:
Using LAB (don't unless you have a NASA-level PC)
Borrowing from trad painters and laying down opaques and glazes (just low opacity layer on top of existing ones)
Using masks and painting shadows using a specific color (better to copy your base color and paint inside it with locked pixels to enable mixing)
Using gradient maps (ideal if you want to start in grayscale)
Again, if you like the multiply look, go on. If you want lifelike skin tones, at least use overlay or get krita for layer modes that they have.
