Behold, the only three actually good online art TEACHERS. Unfortunately there are a lot of video courses and youtube videos out there with good artists that are awful at actually teaching.

Even Vilppu, Steve Huston and Aaron Blaise who are all masterful artists I feel are really bad at teaching art. They do their demonstrations but are awful at breaking problems down or explaining how to approach problems in art for a beginner/intermediate student.

The issue with art education is that it completely caters to the permabegs instead of actually helping the ones getting past the absolute beginner stage, once you become a strong int you're on your own, or you really have to go down the rabbit holes of private discords and paid content with professionals.

The real problem with art education is that anyone with a microphone and recording software can make a course. So a bunch of kids off instagram get scouted to make tutorials who have no experience teaching at all, flooding internet with recycled advice but poorly taught. You're then left with free youtube videos made by the same handful of people who get recommended in the algo.

Anyone who values Vilppu's teaching is worth listening to. Vilppus videos taught me so much, if not only how to be a humble good communicator and artist at the same time.
