I did the oldest file I saved for reference and it was a miserable experience. I kept drawing stuff that was breaking the rules like making him into a bobblehead or changing his face to be more cartoony because drawing him like in the picture just ISNT fun. I like his expression though he looks like a online reviewer.

I'm gonna go learn how to copy images better. Drawing a character from some manga that has dogshit art shouldn't be hard.

If you're curious why I've stopped posting, it's because:
1. I'm trying to limit how much time I spend online. That includes posting on dad.gallery and 4chan (as you can see from this post it doesn't go perfectly, but I am improving).
2. I'm no longer sure if drawing every single day is the best way to go about improving. I still try to spend a lot of time on my art, but there are days without any drawings: sitting down, analyzing and writing notes on how someone approached color composition doesn't count for dad. I'm sure you could find dads who draw daily and have insane hours but don't improve much. Simply "drawing more" isn't the answer to getting good.

I guess I have no opinion about DST reinstatements, from one side it's just a mistake but leaving uploading for the last moment has always been a terrible idea. If you tend to work in the late evening or at night, you can wait fifteen minutes longer and upload it for the next streak already. Or in the morning the next day. Ten times less stress while still posting daily.

Thanks for the interest. This was kinda fun to see for myself and I realized I've been drawing on really small canvas lately. The other change is I had eye surgery and all straight lines appear wobbly now. But that should go away soon.
I do try to draw different stuff and my style changes every few months.
It might be a plateau as you say. I'll just have to keep going. There's a ton of half finished awful sketches I didn't include in the "end of 2023" section here, it was actually hard to find any that were somewhat finished.

firstly i aint no pedophile, that was a whole satire personality thing because cath instigated a silly fight. but none of that is the reason i got banned though. i got banned because i told someone anonymously they shouldnt be posting self inflicting drawings of themselves online because they will get bullied by other dads, well guess what they did get bullied. but kazoo and some other mods assumed i was trolling. also i really didn't care about any of that i went to do my own thing, that was like nearly 3 years ago lmao. i just got back recently cause i talked to some old ic friends.
