youre not bad at all your issue is just that you render half way. the dark tones you use for the shadows, use that to outline the whole form and/or use thicker lineart. focus on shape and having a coherent silhouette. i quickly "finished" a piece for you so you have an idea of what everyones been talking about. it makes your art more appealing and readable

Oh yes, I clearly shifted the perspective from the floor to seated eye level, just as I changed the body type. I always end up making the top too big and then have to cram the rest on the page. Here's another example of that.
I'm hoping to get more practice in, but I've had so much shit going on that my fun little hobby has had to take a back seat to important RL shit.

Also it reminded me of that kawacy tutorial I saw, he would fill up his sketch layer with a shadow tone then paint within, it was pretty mystifying but now I get it.
I tried to bring this to a finish too, it’s funny how one thing can fuck up everything.
