It's not like it's a bad thing but it's a little bit too ambiguos. If anything needs his male characteristic more enhanced like a bigger skull or even a more notorious bulge.

Maybe add some orange to the lower portion of his body so that it’s not entirely concentrated in the hair. You can probably find some sort of motif, like the slanted line of the shirt that can be repeated elsewhere for a visual through line. Otherwise, I like the silhouette and evident personality. I also like how the concentrated detail of his freckles and hair draw to viewer’s eyes to his face

This guy is kind of a cluster fuck. Either repeat the spiral design elsewhere ir don’t have it at all. Otherwise I like the ruffles.

Thanks for the information, I'll keep that in mind! I was trying to go for a Peter Pan motif/ color scheme, cus he's basically like if a boy who's trying to live out being in his imagination world, and acts like a little shit to get his way basically on omniscient tyrant who has a small fuse.

Yes, they all are together! They are like a ragtag little gang, the reason why I chose some of the designs being odd and cooky is because it's supposed to be made by a child (Lionel) and he goes into his imagination land to go on adventures to live out his dream of being a hero. Soon the dragon guy was his first imaginary friend hence why he makes no sense. Lionel being in control of the imagination realm is basically a child tyrant and doesn't see the citizens/ others as people and if he doesn't get his way he basically kills them. The rest of the gang (other then K.K the "villain") doesn't know he's basically a dictator because they are designed to be his friends more. K.K (similarly to the gang is designed to be the villian.) is the only one who knows he's evil and tries to convince other denizens that he's really the evil one

Im going to make the stupid question: Thoughts on her design? I've come a long way, but I think I finally got her perfected. Still, I could use some critiques.

This is stupid, primarily due to the color scheme. Old one had it right by keeping a fair contrast between reds and blacks with yellow as an accent color. Now that black has been turned into an accent color, the whole scheme is completely off balance.

It is admittedly pretty ambiguous, unless that is what you were aiming for, I'd suggest you to tone up her female traits slightly, like small eyelashes, smaller hands, stuff like that.
Also I dont quite see what this character is supposed to be, I see some desert clothes, but that's a baseless guess, you may want to give her clothes a more sense of purpose, maybe...? Either way, nice style, I dig her hair and face.

I never made any character before and I want to make a female cyberpunk-ish character, so far I have decided her hair style, her bionic arms, and some of her background story/lore (she's an android). However, I have a problem when it comes to color harmony and her outfit. I dont know what kind of outfit that my character should have and what kind of color that'll create some harmony with her apparel, etc.
For example, I was thinking about having a blue haired character, what kind of color that is suitable with blue? Should her outfit 'represent' her characteristic? I heard in some of char design lecture that outfit could be used for representing what kind of character he/she is, and now I'm confused

Ren is meant to look more ambiguous. She’s a dancer, wearing a leotard, puffy ballet pants, and ballet shoes. The sash around her waist is just there to add more red. Thank you for your input! I’ll see if I can make it more identifiable
