Are there any recommended resources that aren't focused on men? I've clicked through many that have been shared here but they all have the common trait of being largely focused on male anatomy, in which the artist then finishes it off by saying "If you change here here and here, you will have the female form!"

Which really isn't helpful, so if you have any preferred would love to study some female focused books / resources or whatever

But this is literally it. You practice to draw any subject just by observing, then you study generic anatomy tp get proportions and movement better, then you observe and adapt what you know to draw any man or woman in any style and with any characteristics.

Whatever, your loss. The book has specific advice to make female figures more appealing, as I said I throw the anime elements out.

Naw, Loomis & Bridgman all the way. But Hogarth is on my shelf and was one of my first buys. I believe you can learn something from (almost) any drawing book.

I used to think the same, as most 'anime art books' in American stores are Chris Shart style pablum. But I find a lot of niche books from Japan (and increasingly Korea) are helpful even if you don't draw in that style. They're not meant as a replacement for the classics.

bro just go outside with a pencil and drawing book and sketch for a few hours 2 or 3 days a week. art books are so ridiculously overrated when you have the world around you to make your own mental shortcuts and observations.
Honestly, if you go outside and try to observe reality not only do you get out of your dark moldy ass room, but you can make your own research and studies. 90% of learning how to draw is actually learning how to observe. If you rely on books and shortcuts that other people came up with you're not really learning anything, and the moment something slightly more complex comes around you'll have to find some other bullshit book to get your answers from.
Follow the artist's path anon, go outside and capture the world as you see it.

Don't know why so many here have this either/or approach here. You can do BOTH, learn from books & online, and also go outside and draw. In fact it's the approach most accomplished artists take, to draw from everything.
The problem with only cherrypicking from online sources/ inspiration is that it results in a sort of insular, idealized art, devoid of the rawness of life (which is fine if that's what you're going for, but it explains so much derivative, boring online art).

Somewhat agree, 'drawing from life' isn't for everyone. Drawing from your own photographs is an alternative (careful with people, of course, landscapes and architecture are free reign). It's how some manga artists get those authentic backgrounds (even if they trace them, they look better than some stock 3D shit).

Why not, they are both human beings. The female form has its characteristics that makes one more feminine than masculine, but the anatomical structure underneath is still human being. You're not comparing a elephant to a crocodile.
