Both are a valid approach. The Towergirls game was initially inspired by the Roll-a-Wizard game from back in the day that was being posted on /ic/. This was never meant to be a thinly veiled request thread and I'm sure today's op would agree. However, speaking candidly I do enjoy the original designs by Gatz and their appeal is the reason this thread exists and is perhaps a large part why it remains active to this day; I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy seeing artists' reinterpretations of the originals

Very nice utilitarian rendering, would look great pushed further. Hard to tell in this position but the arms feel like they might be just a little too short-and when I say a little I mean very slightly-maybe 25% of the forearm length or less in total added to the overall length of the arm. I could certainly be wrong, but just always remember that where the arm ends and the wrist begins is also where the base of the pelvis is.

Very well done, great rendering, composition of the tentacles, the subtleties in the eyes and the wrinkles of the face and design of the teeth. Awesome. All you need to do is bring some of those errant tentacles to a finish and you've got a portfolio piece there.

Cute face-especially the eyes, good linework that could be pushed just a little further. While I was questioning one of the pictures above, I'm more confident this one's arms are a bit short-it's not much but is something to look out for next time! Also a little more anatomy here and there would help-once again the sternolclavicular joint in particular is such a good landmark to memorize and include.
