the main corporation of the game its from is really good at making smart/feeling robots and cyborgs. monster hunting in the mines just makes it feel alive more than cutting and storing rare minerals. its not an ai deviation, the mines are unsafe; though HQ wouldnt mind it bringing in more diamonds and less monster bones

1) This is Nephis, she is the 13th heir to the throne of a local lord, when presented with an arranged marriage she does not want, she runs away and starts on an adventure with friends she meets along the way. She is stuck up, though not malicious, but curious about the ways of the commoner. She is a witch with an affinity for fire and charms. Nephis searches for her "prince", but will have to learn a lesson that what you want does not always look like you think it does.

2) Layla, she is a young witch (there is a theme here), who lost her mother at a very young age. She lives alone in a tower deep in the woods. She is attended by her butler, Broom. Then one day a vagabond happens upon the tower, unable to leave the poor girl alone, he becomes her adoptive father. Wholesome hijinks ensue.

4) Clementine, the secretary to the eccentric Mr. Hobbs. She has a dower disposition and takes her work very seriously, beneath the cold exterior and sullen eyes, she has a very feminine personality which she is afraid/embarrassed to show. Clementine is very tall (around 6') and often dresses like the photo on the right when going about town.

Yeah she likes humans (maybe a tad too much), but she's not really built for murder/harm anyway. If she needs human blood for whatever reason she'll look for alternative methods to get it.

Animal blood isn't as "pure" which makes her more sickly, tired, and cold but she puts up with it so she won't have to actively hunt humans.

I’m writing a lore doc about her rn but the short of it is:
-Found as an egg by a demon after her village was wiped out in a war against bug people.
-Brought deep below into the underground world where the only way in and out is a torrent of water coming straight down from the ceiling into a labyrinth of spelunking caves.
-Hatched and raised to be the prophesied saviour of the people trapped underground.
-Slays the Mole King who is enslaving them (his head is in the original pic)
-Now is bored far underground where she lazes about in her temple as their goddess. She longs to escape as well so she can see the promised land (the surface world). She also doesn’t know that there’s more of her kind out there.
-Pic related is her in her temple receiving tribute from the defeated mole people

-What about the demon that found her as an egg? normally i'd find that suspicious in any story since demons are normally chaotic. Do you have good demons? I do.

- Yes, there are demons but the underground world so far mainly comprises of the mole people, and the Marasmusi. The Marasmusi are the descendants of prisoners of the The Pit who fell through the lowest parts and into the underground. The majority of them are grey-to-blue-skinned and silver-eyed because of generations of consuming high amounts of colloidal silver. Demons are there too but Demons are capable of shifting between extradimensional planes so they can go wherever they want.
- Demons, just like people can be good or bad, but generally work in their own best interests. Though Blanche doesn’t know why the demon that brought her down there did what they did.
- Yes! In fact her story for her takes place long after the death of the Mole King and sees her truly trying to escape the underground.
- My world consists of a wide array of fantasy tech, mostly focussing on medieval like you say, but guns do exist and some species have much advanced tech related to their origins such as gnomes who have roaming steampunk cities, or the sky elves that live in floating ones.
- Blanche mainly relies on her physical capabilities, predominantly her strength and thick hide to deal and withstand damage, but she can also breath fire in different forms and though she was never taught how, she has an inept swimming ability thanks to her physiology.
- I’m thirsty for Art man, I’ll take anything at this point lol.

Heres my oc, he's name is ye old fred. He is a reincarnated aztec god, speicifically one of the 400 Centzonmīmixcōa. He's current state is the result of a botched rebirth ritual that a group of cultists did, the end of such resulted with his soul being placed into a origami stick figure. The vessel he is in limits his power usage greatly, making him very weak, but in theory he could use some of his greater powers, but it would kill hkm

So I used my birth signs kind of like prompts.
Birthstone. Mine was Aquamarine or Opal (interchangeable depending on the version of the birthstone list you use) For me, this mainly determined some of her colour palette and her eyes but you could use it any number of ways. As you can any of the prompts.
Aztec Zodiac: These are dependent on the specific day you were born on. Even more specific than the Greek astrological signs. These include signs like the Jaguar or Ocelotl (mine), to the Home, Caiman, Reed, Flint, or even the Snake. I mostly used this for Blanche’s fur and ears.
Chinese Zodiac: This one depends on what year you were born. I’m Year of the Dragon, so that’s why Blanche is a dragon girl. And since it’s the Chinese Zodiac, I used Asian dragons as the inspiration.
Astrology sign: The Greek signs of the constellation depend on the day and month range you were born in. I’m a Pisces so I gave Blanche a piscine tail.
Chinese Zodiac Elements: There are five Wu Xing elements: Wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. I won’t go into what I mean but if you search up “Chinese Zodiac Elements” on Google, the first article is pretty succinct. The last number of your birth year determines it. I got Metal so I gave Blanche a her metallic nails and antlers.

You can use these prompts however you see fit. I just wrote them all on the side of the paper I was doodling on and kept them in mind when designing Blanche.

Their thing is a mixture of a centipede/sea copepods. Mostly they live in underwater caves and often they just eat bones. They can astral project themselves but often times they just use it as an excuse to sleep and be lazy.

This is good advice. I’ll think some on it. I struggle because both characters feel difficult to explain outside of the world they exist in. In my work it’s easy to understand because the world “tells itself” as the story progresses. You don’t really need an expiation to understand what things are because they unfold on their own.

But when I’m writing a character bio I don’t really want to say something like, “Heal is a time wisp” because that doesn’t mean anything to anyone. Explaining it though would take awhile and I don’t want to clutter his bio with lengthy asides. Similar situation with his backstory, all of it would require a base level understanding of the mechanics of the world itself.

I could cut it short to something like,
“Heal is a wisp that pilots a metal body. Advisor to The Crown, Heal is well known for his cold and calculating nature.”
But it feels pretty reductive to do so. I’m also not sure something so bleh actually interest anyone in my characters.

I’m sure the balance is somewhere in between but I just haven’t figured it out yet.

Her name is Viktoriya Sokolov. The drawing itself is just concept art, and admittedly, I don't have that much lore about her other than that she's meant to be a grim reaper who's stuck between a liminal state of heaven and hell after having died in a war and never given a proper funeral.

I don't have elaborate lore written out, my ocs have only a short paragraph of lore. Their behaviour is based on the creature(s) I was inspired by, but some act more human and others feral. As for my silverfish, the kingdom she's from is made of only insect monsters and is a small part of the setting where there are all kinds of monster girls and humans. Her kingdom is hidden and aggressive so they don't have many relations with any other communitity of monsters or humans (most inhabitants are also man-eating). Her queen is a giantess chimera of insect queens who manipulated other insects to do her bidding for centuries that resulted into creating a small kingdom of insects that she uses to serve her needs. She is selfish and doesn't care for her people, and because the kingdom is of diverse species it's pretty chaotic.

About Lepish:
-Her diet is similar to silverfish: she munches on her flag when she feels peckish on duty, she would interpret a love letter as a snack and she would have a hard time reading books when hungry.
-Silverfish aren't predators so she's more friendly and not prone to violence. She doesn't have the instincts to hunt and eat humans, but is fine with eating dead remains of them.
-Differences are: she's cheerful and brave, different from how skittish silverfish usually are. She's also more durable.
-She tries to act more humanlike, she stumbled upon books on human knights and ended up idealizing them. Other insects find her obsession with chivalry odd, since they don't care about any of the chivalric virtues except for loyalty. Her alt design is just a daydream of hers if she was more cooler like the human knights from the stories she read.

I hope this was kinda the answer you were looking for, sorry it ended up a bit rambly I kinda treated it as a creative exercise. I'd give more lore to my ocs but I'm not a writer, so idk what I'm doing. Sorry for the late response, have a doodle

Guess I'll bite the bump to talk/brainstorm more about my twin-headed dragon lady I'm working on, Kamares and Kabara:
- Kamares and Kebara are actually quite secretive and unknown to the outer world other than by her epithet, the Lords Exchequer. Lords, here is not possessive noun but a plural one, referring to her two heads. Most people assume its the former rather than the latter.
- Her flag seen in the pic related, is called the Twin Snakes, leading many to believe the Lords Exchequer is a Lamia. The fact that the snakes breathe fire here betrays her Pelmarckan identity for those clever enough to see it.
- She resides in a large tower called the Tower Exchequer. In her place, she sends her envoys to act on her behalf outside her domain (I need to design them too. I'm thinking something like the Ringwraiths from J.R.R. Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings").
- She's the Mysterious Sponsor who hired Mortigrast to enter into @Mud_and_Blood's knight jousting tourney on Twitter (Currently ongoing. My OC, Mortigrast hasn't even appeared yet).
- Came up with her after making the emblem for my tourney entry.

My OCs are usually for minecraft RP purposes.
Melhior, careless son of a hacienda owner, was chasing after skirts until his friends and family got cursed to become animals and murdered by enslaved natives in Moses fashion. Became only a werewolf (turns into a furry ass cat if exposed to water in Ranma 1/2 style), only has his sister who is turned into a turtle, escaped from his ruined home on father who became a horse and had to eat him, after horse got a hoof infection and died shortly and Melhior had no other supply of food (or just hadn't known how to get hold of it elsewhere at the moment).
Soon had a penniless life of no great importance, trying to hide his condition and take care of the turtle, until found out how to get idekai'd into a realm where the magic soursed from and took the chance.
After that the events of the game took place, but it's too broad of a topic, in short he got healed of lycantropy and obtained a moss cat clone of himself in a process, who became brothers with, taken care of a lot of children until they grown up (one of them became a slave-owner dictator, other one is his clone's right hand and he third one settled for a boring married life, the fouth one died partly because of him), been chasing after skirts and got to turn his sister back, got stuck in this dying world until his end with the rest, but at least did so in wealth, since the dictator kid took him and his sister in his palace out of respect.
