How to cope with your shitty art?
I just feel so jealous when see other good artists and understand that I never become like them.

Get a mentor
Self teaching is a massive meme and is partly why so many here still suck. Most pros may not have went to an art college but many did have mentors in their formative years. People don't like talking about it though.

It's not easy. I love drawing but I still get discouraged.

I try to think about the 5+ years of unseen work good artists went through to get to where they are. I've only been drawing seriously for like half a year, so that puts things in perspective and makes me feel better.

I’ve decided to exclusively draw only the things I want to draw, and focus any practice or personal growth into what I can use to make the things I want to draw look better.

Chris-Chan’s never doubted their art skills and they’re doing fine. I’m actually trying to improve so who cares if /ic/ isn’t happy with how long it takes? You gotta have joy in the process of making art, even bad art, because every line is a step forward. I forget that myself sometimes and fall into depression, but on days like today when it’s not all doom and gloom I can find joy in just making what I want to make.
