How come 15 years spent drawing so constantly yet he just went from utter shit to barely mediocre and still unappealing when it comes to drawing everything that isn't a titan? It scares me because I could also end up like him in terms of overall prpgress if I fuck up somewhere.

Oh anon, I've had this fear many times. I'll ask you something. Can you spot problems in your own art?

alright anon, since your just posted mindless bitching and abandoned this thread, I'll just leave this here for any fag who might have the same fear.
If you can see the flaws in your own art AND you are actively willing to change and fix those flaws, then you will more than likely be able to avoid the trap of stagnation. There, that's it. As always, OP is a faggot.

Don't go professional with your art until you think it's ready or you can get caught in the trap of always needing to meet deadlines and get projects done as fast as possible. You see that all the time with internet artists except they're not even getting paid. They go viral, get an audience and now the feel the need to always please that audience and never reciprocal and grow. The flip side is you seek perfection forever and you never consider yourself good enough to produce finished work or sell employment

/ic/'s obsession with narrowly conceived progress (le fundies) is really this weird, unexamined thing when you step back and look at it.
Artists are the sum total of their experiences & habits. Most of the really good, creative artists got that way by doing exactly the thing that felt right at any given moment, and struggling through the process. Isayama mainly wanted to tell a horror story where the artcraft wasn't of paramount importance, Toriyama just liked drawing cars and cartoons and shit since he was a kid.
It makes no sense to worry whether you'll "end up" a certain way, you should be thinking ahead a week at most, how to somehow make the next picture work (which it often won't, but still).

How do you know you'll be up to scratch? Are there ways to test this more objectively?

That's the soul difference. You never know if you have a soul until you try and draw for many years. Even if you find out you have no soul, your art will be technically great and still sort of interesting to look at. Nothing to be scared of.

>Anons got filtered by "just draw"
Im certain anon is pointing out the fact that your average, well versed artist doesnt put an autistic amount of fixation on the grinding process while not drawing what they want to do and they simply draw while focusing on understanding their shortcomings and correcting them to their best of their abilities.

Rather than going all like
>"Nooo!! I need to hoard 30 more art books and grinde a million boxes before I draw what I want to draw!!"
You're better off going like
>I will draw what I want and see what I need to improve and study from there, then I will apply my studies on the next draw!"
This is the real power of just drawing.

It's called process, son. Sometimes workflow, but you get the idea. You're problem solving, and just making the same cascading decisions. Making different decisions is a lot harder when you're only presenting yourself with the same problems, right? This is one big reason why getting out of your comfort zone benefits you so much as an artist.

This guy never made an attempt to genuinely improve all he did was release chapters of his story and fill the quota.

It would be a different story if there was proof of him genuinely trying to improve his anatomy and shot composition but there isn't. I wouldn't be too worried about it anon

Nah.
I have no envy towards him or anyone else.
But I do hope he realize his shortcomings and fight against stagnation. Lest he ends up becoming another One Hit Wonder like the authors of Cromatie High, Death Note, Mirai Nikki, and of course, Game of Thrones.

>drove Disney to their death

Disney was bought by jews to destroy European culture and internationalize it. it's a propaganda outlet for israelis and their agenda to mix all non-jews into a single mixed-race underclass with no nations.
