I haven't visited /ic/ since 2021 when Tonio got nuked by Proko and it's fucking incredible how a lot of people haven't changed a bit.
Why do people keep asking for bazillion courses? Why are some of you obssesed with downloading a gorillion pose references?
Aren't Proko and Vilppu enough? Why do you need an anatomy course from some random chinese man thinking is THE course that's finally going to click with you? Why are you waiting for Batman or a CGP invite in order to start studying when shit like online-courses exist and you can find pretty much literally every single course you need in there?

I thought we all grew from asking for a million courses after Tonio got disappeared.

Lips will always be lips and if you studied the anatomy and the 3D shape of the lips you should be able to twist them from any angle if mix it with some knowledge of perspective.
You * don't * need a bazillion pose packs from MEGA or CGP to do that, a few images should be fine in case you're having trouble.

There was a dude in early 2021 sharing a MEGA link with 2TB of courses for almost 6 months until he presumably got nuked by Proko around June-July, no one knows who started calling him "Tonio" but some people started doing so out of nowhere and he got known as Tonio ever since, the torch got passed to Batmanon as he did a backup of everything Tonio shared and he kept sharing and opening access to the files only for a few days every once in a while until he got scared of getting sued and kinda stopped doing it.

what kids these days need is a way to access the old conceptart.org 'art & education' forum, everything you needed, all free. nobody has an archive of it... unless? I did grab the kevin chen figure drawing pages back then, just pictures but good to study. would better off studying a dedicated anatomy book first of course. if anyone is interested I'll upload the folder somewhere.(200+ images of figure drawings/analysis/breakdowns)

I started browsing /ic/ in 2021 and I have to agree with you. Besides a few AI threads nothing much changed and I'm sure that 99.99% of us will never make it, but I'm not one of those and I'm gonna quit this garbage from today on.

Gi recommended constantly observing, reading, watching, and collecting information/reference material (second to experiencing and holding things yourself). Even after drawing all day every day he still said it took him at least 10 years before he could draw figures confidently without issue, and he still made mistakes. If you are expecting to draw good-looking figures from imagination without doing it hundreds, or thousands, of times from reference then you are NGMI. Maybe some artists have a great memory and figured out simplifying things early, but it is not a realistic expectation if you want to draw at his level.

clearly you are a newer newfag than me, you must've not seen how nothing on this board has changed as far back as 2012. since then, I've literally made it, and I come back every half-year or so just to see what's changed, but its all the same. I feel bad for people who've been stuck here for as long as I've been coming here, still looking for that thing that will make them GMI, but they won't find it because it doesn't exist. Some people must eventually come to terms with the fact that they just don't "get it," and never will.

Anyways, thanks /ic/ for teaching me what to do, and more importantly, what NOT to do. Pray for the bastards that wasted the decade I spent winning
