Drawing round objects is harder than drawing squarish objects. It's a fact. This is why you learn how to draw cubes first. Not him but it's not the same kind of stiffness: the human body is always subjected to gravity, and 99.999% of the time, at least subtly, displays some balancing between its part to maintain equilibrium.

3D models don't have such restriction, and thus don't need to be balanced.
