I don’t know why so much anime art uses these weird angles and violent perspectives. Not only is it harder to draw, it often looks wrong even if it’s technically correct because we are not used to seeing people that way. It’s harder to read, and proportions can appear “off” due to the perspective distortion and foreshortening. This drawing is legitimately off, though. It’s usually more pleasing to the eye when limbs etc. appear as we know them to be, which is why most classical art features full length figures drawn as if from a distance (so perspective distortion is minimal), with much consideration given to posing so the limbs read correctly. I get that coom artists want the viewer in up close and personal, though.
