I was looking at the lines of the invincible comic and they seem very clean, how is this achieved?

>> No.6779214

What stands out with this line work over literally any other basic line work? Am I missing something? It doesn't even have much line weighting

His lines look clean, he doesn't look like your typical comic capeshit full of gross lines, he looks fresh, that's why he asked how to achieve a similar style.

They were going to fight hand to hand but they were attacked by a plague of beasts, the guy (Thragg) was injured, the other the lion (battle beast) was cut on purpose so as not to have an advantage in the fight against Thragg, the image shows the subsequent confrontation to that attack of the plague when they decide to fight without interruptions.

11x17 artboard, traditional
but that's 2 boards side by side

you can simulate it by just putting 2 8x11 together (top to bottom, not left to right) and just draw with that much space

Draw very, very big. Americans use 11x17" paper

Look up Richard Friend's inking tutorials.
There was a less popular channel too, idr the name but he used Pentel Watercolor brushes and had insanely clean lineart. He dipped them in ink (didn't fill them)

Those things are designed for watercolor palettes. A slight squeeze and you get some water coming out.
If you fill it with ink it'll come out through gravity alone over-saturating the brush, and gripping it in any way causes it to gloop out.
It's easier to dip it, it picks up enough ink for a few minutes.

They're shockingly good brushes btw. Cheap, you can wash them out with just water, produce pretty crisp lines too.
They come in packs so I could keep a one for fill-ins, and another for general line art and feathering.

I mean, i use those, just add more ink and hold it lightly.
>gripping it in any way causes it to gloop out.
Not for me then. Light grip. You literally control it with grip.
>It's easier to dip it, it picks up enough ink for a few minutes.
Hate this shit.

Yep. Only pain is to clean `em after filling with ink.

Are they using a brush at its max pressure, or are they balancing the pressure in the middle of their curve? You never know what brush size or pressure curve someone used for art so just copying what the picture looks like doesn't help.

Are they really going from thin to thick in one clean stroke or are they drawing over the same line again and again? I can't believe people actually balance how hard they're pushing on the tablet when drawing.

Take a shot of the curve- next to it try replicating it.

You take a brush and adjust the pressure you place on the paper according to the line thickness you want
What the fuck kind of answer do you retards expect with these kinds of stupid questions that dont deserve their own thread? At some point you have to draw
