really nice setup, what type of stuff do you do? You make music? I feel like this is too much stuff that could be worked on all at once, but really you don't usually used one or two of these on that desk. I actually only use one of my monitor plus cintiqs when I work at my desk, and other stuff is mainly for when I travel.

>>6771461

nice and clean, is that your art? Couldn't that tablet go full wireless? Its weird but I can't stand the feeling of using a plastic nibs with actual paper, usually I felt its too much friction. How much does it wear it down?

they are canned air for dusting computer components, and the black capped is "workable fixative" , it is a type of fast drying adhesive to make sure graphite like medium don't fall off the surface. I used it to extend the working time for certain type of artwork in my sketch book, mainly soft pencils.

typically the type of pencil work I have here will become more smeared and rub off the opposite page over time, but fixative allow it to retain its sharpness once the work is done on it.

More like you don't know how calibration works.
The Cintiq Pros can get pretty damn bright, with the 27 ostensibly getting to the bare minimum for HDR content (barely) but I would never keep the tablet set to that level of brightness. It's too damn harsh when you're a foot away from the screen for hours.

Unless you're buying a $5k+ monitor to try get a print-accurate calibration, you won't be getting anything close to "print accurate". Everybody has different garbage monitors that are uncalibrated at all so there's no point in trying to go for some unrealistic standard.

Just get the gamma and the contrast right (plenty of guides on how to do that) and then make sure the colors aren't too fucked and that's basically all you should be caring about. If you're really worried about how other people are going to be seeing what you made, view it on MULTIPLE displays and / or phones (which are often higher quality than any monitor you'll be buying) to verify that your levels are mostly correct.

its a fordable desk, I bought it the second time so I can have a L-shaped setup, but there are some strange quality control issue with the second desk, it is somehow 1 inche lower then my first, and one of the feet is shorter than the other, and I had to use a few mounting tapes to keep it leveled. the top surface is weak and it not suitable to bear heavy loads. I have a Epson workforce 7000 series which is 40lbs, and I do not trust this desk to hold it long term.

"The Job of the Service Committee member" by Kiyoshiro Inoue, its porn, so if you are squeamish about that, I would also recommend manga version of Evangeline by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, which isn't as dynamic in certain aspect but have much higher level of polish, but Sadamoto's anatomy is much more cartoonish.

It started off as a gaming PC, and in many ways, it still is, though my upgrades have more been focused on content creation.

Nixeus EDG-27 1440p 144Hz
Wacom Cintiq 22in 1080@60Hz
Ryzen 9 5900X
2x16GB @3600MHz DDR4 RAM
Vega 64 GPU
And a bunch of storage drives

I might get an HDR monitor focused on color accuracy, since a lot of my work has a strong emphasis on color, and it's also ready for HDR publishing, but I don't know how to properly write a file that can be interpreted as HDR by TVs and stuff.

Here's my cheapskate setup, the desk is probably older than some of the posters in here. Thing on the left is an improvised drawing board, the thing underneath the meme wooden mannequin is a diorama base I use for doing painting studies on, the clamp lamp gives me some decent lighting setups and lights the other desk where the mouse is. In general the crappy shelf in the right allowed me to get more space for painting materials, had to put it backwards after cleaning because the opening at the base was filled with black widows when I lifted it from the floor.

Too funny, I have the exact same model iMac. Mine is on its last legs though and I expect it to give up the ghost in less than a year. As much of a ripoff as Macs are, the portability has been essential over all these years. I'm one of the few customers where a glorified laptop was exactly what I needed.

Seriously considering purchasing a new computer before any shit kicks off with Taiwan. It's going to be impossible to get anything once that happens. Will probably be a PC though.
