Chances are you're also drawing something that is incredibly niche. If you're gonna be an artist that cares about "likes" and the attention of others,
then at least TRY to draw something that other people want to see and might enjoy.

I've been pretending most of my work was made in stable diffusion and starting shit in the comments as a joke, every day there's some new way to have fun.

NTA, but he is right on something, social media numbers usually dont represent the artist's skill level, just because someone is at 100k means they are a /pro/, and just because someone is at 100 means they are a permabeg. More often than not you see excellent and professional artists barely making the numbers, as well artists with little skill in comparison making the big numbers.
But you're not entirely wrong with what you initially said.

It's just that the key isnt just skill, but also appeal and knowing how to use the site you post in. Your stuff needs to be appealing, interesting, and have a noticeable grasp of technical knowledge to be edible for the average viewer, then you just have to know how to post and you will be able to reach more people.
