Yeah the lighting is a headache tbqh. There's one teeny ringlight that will work for this purpose and it's doing its best, but I need to run to target or something for a simple desk lamp and gauze or something to diffuse it and sit just outside the shot. These are the MHW English pages, not sure if there's a huge demand but at the very least it can go on an external HDD for me, which is a goal I have.

EH has a lot of artbooks where each scanned page is an image in a gallery. If there's no active torrent (or if you can't use torrents where you are), you either have to have enough Gallery Points (GP) to download the whole gallery as a ZIP file, or you need to click through and save each page one-at-a-time.

There are scripts, like the one for Tampermonkey, that would allow you to automate this process, but there's a limit on the number of images EH will let you download in a certain time period. If the gallery you want has a lot of pages, this could mean you hit that limit before you can download them all.

Additionally, recent changes (see pic related) mean you could end up paying GPs to download the original image if you're trying to do it during peak hours or if the gallery is older than 12 months. Under such circumstances, if you don't have a login, or don't have enough GPs ... well, you're out of luck, script or not.

Ok, first chapter of MHW in English. There's about 200 double-sided pages to go. I think this is about as good as I can get it unfortunately, so if this is useful I'll keep going. Since there are more links in the recap than will fit in the OP, I usually take up the first two or three posts with last thread's recap. Normally, I'll post a thumbnail of one of the books in the recap, but also try to include >>6785252 in at least one of them, so people understand what's going on here... something you might have missed if you've been away.

I was on vacation, and unable to make this thread, so another anon filled in (see>>6762977).

If you're new here, or new to 4chan in general, or maybe haven't been here for a while, you might have missed the catastrophe that ensued: some unknown person or group of people took it upon themselves to start reporting MEGA links en masse for copyright violations; to quote Agent Smith, "entire crops were lost". A lot of books that were staples here on /ic/ - and content from several other boards as well - simply aren't available any more as a result.

Since it kept happening, we speculated that this reporting may have been automated by now - bots or scripts that crawl these threads looking for MEGA links and sending them in for copyright violations to get them taken down. As a defense, we've started encoding the links. So far, that seems to be working pretty well.
