It's much better to use reference from photos and better art and 3D posing tools, because a computer will do perfectly something like perspective calculation.

I've drawn from imagination from years, and I eventually realized that a computer will always draw better perspective than my brain.

I learned to do this shit this way after doing 3D fag shit in blender since 2017.

You learn to do a lot of these tricks if you do 3D shit, and learn to puppet poses if you try to do animation stuff, specially shit like cut out animation.

I spent so many years drawing from imagination I developed good construction and visualization skills.

This is 100% from imagination, no reference used here.

In any case, after 2017 I started to realize I needed to use reference when drawing.
Plus I got into 3D, photobashing, graphic design, kitbashing, Substance painter and concept art workflows.

I've done enough work from imagination where I can use a 3D and 2D kitbash and just draw normally on top.

I think my current sketch was sucessfull.

It really proved it can handle my workflow, a complex scene with 3 characters.
So that's a sucess in my eyes.

Also I learned valuable lessons, mostly that I need first to generate better vroid models to be posed, instead of that generic manequin.

Also need to figure out if I can import sprites in my posing app and composite inside the app to keep the perspective with the background correct.

And I need to figure out how to check the composition on my 3D app.

It's not. This is what most pro illustrators do when they're on a deadline.
The difference is they actually know how to draw and draft a couple pages of thumbnails to work out their composition before they go hunting for parts to Frankenstein, and they're actually efficient because they usually create their own photographic reference.

Then use GMIC filter to create and edge sketch, then use AI to generate a first sketch, which I can later tweak for a second quick manual pass before a third AI inked automation.

I dont think you got the point of what I meant, but let me clarify myself since what I said was kind of lacking anyway.

What I mean is that, when you cant find a precise reference for something, you can simply create it yourself by grabbing as many useful images as you can (keeping them near you for quick consulting, I mean) and making the combinations for the whole composition inside your head while also changing some things to make the combinations make sense.
An example of this would be using three different draws to make a final draw based on A's legs, B's arms and C's facial expression. You acquire the references for each element you need separately, then combine them in your mind to have the general idea and accurately make the connections, while you have the original references at hand to for consulting the details of each element separately.

This method has helped me a lot whenever I have problems finding a reference, it's also a good way of studying poses and construction as you're essentially doing what OP did but in your head and making the corrections there and on the canvas. Granted, this method gets more difficult to pull off depending on the elements you need to combine, and the incompatibilities can be a pain to deal with too.

To answer your question, no, Im not talking about visual memory here, it's about using references and mental construction.

What I want is figure out a method to craft 2D VN pictures for a VN cutscene.

Since I need to generate quickly an entire game worth od cinematics, I need an automated method.

The thing now, it seems, I need to figure out a way to get full control of some AI model.
But I need to basically make a 15 minute sketch and then find a workflow to translate the sketch into a finished illustration.

The issue is keeping the same style and characters lookign the same. (using a LORA I think).

The real issue is let's say I want to remake this picture with proper AI.
Like how do I get 3 characters to hold a complex pose where they interact and overlap.

That's a bit more dificult than just prompting.
