Ask yourself "How can I make the next kick better?"

In al seriousness, the thing with Chris is that he literally doesn't care about anything on his life other than whatever the fuck goes on his schizophrenic mind.
Dude knows how to work, knows how to drive a car perfectly (he even has drive across the states by himself a few times) and in general I think if he had some guidance like a decade ago he could actually have been a decent artist with some insane hard work. Unfortunately we all know what happened to him on the internet and one of the biggest reasons on why he hasn't improved jack shit in 20 years it's because a lot of people have trolled him into thinking they love Sonichu because it's a well-written masterpiece with insane good artwork and that has been enough for him to say "I don't need to improve more, I've already made it in life"

/ic/ doesn't seem to get this, when people tell you to just draw they are talking about the most difficult and fundamental aspect of getting good at drawing: to actually draw. It is necessary but not sufficient to become great at drawing, but if you are able to stick to it and have some resemblence of soul you will improve.
But creating a habit of drawing is the bare minimum, you need to constantly be alert and observant of the world around you, going through a constant cycle of inaccuracy-observation-accuracy with a laserfocused intent on mastery.
But "just drawing" is a fucking prereq that most people don't even fucking bother with. It's necessary but becoming great means challenging yourself and being, for lack of a better word, brave in your drawing.

>> No.6743678

>>6743676
Maybe this is what people find difficult about drawing, "just drawing" is simultaneously the most fundamental, the most difficult thing you can do.. but also the bare minimum.
It doesn't mean shit if you "just draw", but it means less than shit if you "don't draw".

Art is all about making the representation of your subject believable. Chris is retarded and looks at his Sonichu comics and it's like 1:1 with reality to him (probably due to the malignant narcissistic tumor he calls a brain) so he had no reason to switch his style up or try harder.

The crappy mindset here is unbelievable. Since you measure your progress relative to someone who advances much better quicker you surely also compare yourself to the 99% of people who never pick up a pencil right? This whole board needs to be nuked from orbit: you are so entitled. You have to automatically improve but also other people aren't allowed to improve faster or better, they are definitely not an opportunity to learn from, no in order for you to bother with a skill you must progress and also progress the best out of everyone else on the planet.

>It went from a fantasy of Sonichu to a SoL featuring Rosechu to Chris-Chan self-inserting himself as the victim in his own comic.
Just because it's SOVL doesn't mean it was good. Chris-Chan could have made something great with Sonichu. He could have had his own cult following of Sonichu. He could have learned to draw better, make better stories with his characters. He could have made something great, that even Nintendo & Sega would have been impressed with. Instead, he let his narcissism & autism get the best of him. He listened to trolls, fells for their tricks, became a lolcow, went tranny, fucked his mom, broke the law, and went insane.

In some alternative reality, Chris-Chan lost weight, developed better social skills, never trooned out, never fucked his mom, never broke the law, & Sonichu had its own little cult following, where Nintendo & Sega collaborated in making a Sonichu comic & video game, & made Sonichu is a playable character in Super Smash Brothers. Sadly, that reality isn't this one.
