Observation and the motorskills in your hand to implement it will be the only way you make it.

Guys... if copying Bridgman gives you body-drawing powers. Does that mean... if I copy say an artbook with girls in it, I will have girls-drawing powers? or say I copy a manga, will I have manga powers? In other words, does the Bridgman thing work for everything else?

I hate /ic/ so much dude, in any other artist hangout including reddit everyone will tell you "you can and should learn from observation and practice" and here's it's treated like a miracle trick/copyright infringement

we're losing the plot down to the most basic loomis principles

Well, yeah, obviously. But it sure does help be able to better express your ideas! And it's fun too, getting to draw things you couldn't before.

People love children's artwork and it has nothing to do with refined motor skills. People respond to sincere and earnest perspectives on familiar subjects.
Acting as a human photocopier alone may not be enough to make it.

it's uplifting if you're actually willing to do something. if you're a lazy ass nodraw, the last thing you want to hear is that you could have made it if you put the work in. "i have no talent" is a much more convenient excuse.

The reason you're not going to make it isn't your lack of skill, is that your way of seeing the world and thus your way of doing art is unappealing or outright alien to 99% of the people.
Not being able to make it is part of your own existence

>> No.6709763

This

>>6706449
Yes to some degree, Bridgman teaches you a certain style, how to indicate anatomy, how to draw bodies, how to simplify bodies, and how bodies work. An artbook with girls on it will probably have less educational value, and you'll probably need to supplement by also studying anatomy.
But yeah basically it'll help.
